Well, it's the Friday before the 6th road test of the year for the Giants, this one being in frigid Minnesota, against the Vikings. As I'm sure everyone's heard by now, Brett "the Diva" Favre is a gametime decision (big freakin deal in my opinion). The way Favre's played this season, I don't find that to be as big of a deal as everyone who's a part of the media makes it out to be. I think the biggest concern for the Giants should be Adrian Peterson, given the way the defense gave up yardage to Maurice Jones-Drew two weeks ago against Jacksonville in the first half. It's not a big concern, considering a bulk of the yardage was in the first half, but of course, always something to keep an eye on if you're a part of the defense. Offensively, the Giants look even better given the injury report that lists Steve Smith and Hakeem Nicks as quesitionable, but they also haven't played in a few games, so I know I'll be looking to see how rusty they are in their return, if they play. I think the running game will do pretty well considering Minnesota's got a pretty good front four. I look for Jacobs and Bradshaw to go for at least 80 yards a piece, both scoring at least one touchdown. Eli will probably have an INT or two, given the fact that he always seems to turn the ball over when they play Minnesota (and let's not mention the game he had against them back in '07).
All in all, I think this game has the potential to get out of hand quickly, much like the Redskins game last week, sending all us Giants fans to the "dark side," so to speak, having to root for the Cowboys on Sunday night. Just think if Dallas beats the Eagles on Sunday night, the Giants win in Minnesota, then the Giants beat the Eagles next weekend, putting the Giants 2 games into first place with 2 games to go. I love the sounds of the Giants being 2 games into first place with 2 games to go. I'm starting to love the Giants chances heading into the end of the season.
