The OL--where
we need the most help. Makes sense.
So, Tynes must be okay for Sun.
Sounds like it.
I for one, am relieved.

Where graham's kick offs
really as bad as I’ve been reading?
All you hear about is the past, the past... the past is the !@#$ing past, this is the present.

Did you read
That he couldn’t reach the End Zone from the 45 after a personal foul penalty?
They weren’t making that up…

Yeah
the kicker on my HS team kicks from the 40 and usually hits the back of the endzone every time. This guy is a pro and can’t hit the endzone from the 45? gimme a break
Is it possible
that on the short kickoff Graham wasn’t trying for a touchback? Seems to me when you’re kicking from the 45, you you might want to try to pooch kick and pin the receiving team back deep, rather than boot it through the endzone. Your coverage is going to get there pretty quickly.
That said, even if Graham was attempting to pooch it for that reason, the result was terrible anyway if I remember correctly. I’m glad the Graham experiment was a short one for plenty of reasons. It’s just surprising that everybody assumes an NFL kicker (even a marginal one) can’t kick it farther than a highschooler, when there was a good football rationale for a weak kick.
Based on our ST's recent preformance, letting the other team's returner even touch the ball is a really bad idea
Kick the damn ball into the 10th row and let the defense try to get a 3 and out
which would give us good field position without the risk of giving up another big return.

That HS guy...
Should show up at NMS on practice day. He might be able to skip college.

Yes they were terrible
short and not very high. But this Meredith is awful. He was cut by the Bills, and they have unequivocably the worst offensive line in the league. They have little talent and no depth, and this guy wasn’t good enough to stick with that team.
"Stop the run to earn the right to rush the passer"- great philosophy from new SU DLine coach Jimmy Brumbaugh.

They obviously signed Meredith to be the gunner on special teams...
at 6’4" 304 lbs and with a 4.99 40-yard dash, he will fill in nicely in Victor Cruz’s absence.
Meredith
This is his 4th team in a year. Drafted by GB, wound up on Buffalo last year at the end of training camp, then Detroit this year. Sounds like dead weight.
I’d rather use the roster spot for a kickoff specialist.
His name is "Ham" in Spanish.
Makes sense to me.

The Giants have been trying to claim him for the past 3 weeks
must be more to it then that.
The Bills don’t exactly have much of a clue on what to do with talent anyway.

Bills
It’s more a failure to recognize talent in the first place. This year was the first time in awhile I could not laugh at their 1st round draft pick.
Well you could.
Considering all the holes they have up and down both their lines, they took a finesse back in the one position they actually had some depth. Why on earth would you take a small speedy guy like Spiller when they gave up 46 sacks last year. Only 4 teams were worse. Talk about a stupid pick.
Strikeouts are boring- Besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls - it's more democratic.

Whimper officially kaput?
If they would rather have this guy than re-sign Whimper….
Or has this been the case all along and I am out in left field again?
Good points
Never heard of this guy? We don’t want to bring Whimpering Guy Whimper back, please!

Just goes to show you....
When everyone calls for Tynes and Dodge to be cut…….that they arent as bad as you think, and what is out there in free agents isnt any better.
….and I am going to say it, I like Dodge, he is a rookie working out some jitters, but the kid can kick and is going to be a great punter.
Even with the fumble this week, I'm still willing to live thru the pains of the learning process with him too!
In his first year in the league, he’s getting experience at just about every possible way a punter can screw up!!

yea
he has to work on catching the snap and getting it off quickly… he can absolutely smash the ball
