WARNING NY: The Bears are better than lucky....

PACKERS DID NOT COMMIT FOOLISH MISTAKES.....THEY WERE INTENTIONAL.

As I read through these comments a couple of things really stand out that make me think that NY in really in for a blindsided collision of reality….

1. We did not get lucky in the Lions game (albeit that was a TD catch) but see if you only saw that replay and not the game then maybe you dont realize that we killed the Lions and ourselves… we had over 460 yards of offense and they had 168 or something like that… FOR THE GAME. The amazing part is that the Bears turned it over 4 times (3 in the redzone). Detroit was pissed because they know they should have stolen that game but were outplayed in every manner, and the lucky part being that they were within 7 in the first place.

2. Green Bay knows how dangerous the Bears are, they play us far too often to not know how to play us…. the vast majority of the penalties were holding calls, and pay attention NY… IT WAS INTENTIONAL without those calls Aaron Rodgers would have been on a stretcher…no lie…. Julius Peppers and Mark Anderson beat their men consistently and GB knew they could not stop them….. so they saved their QB. If NY does not hold those two literally Eli is in for a world of hurt, especially with a pissed off Tommie Harris playing again, you read it here first.

3. Three of those INT’s that Jay ALMOST threw would have been completions if GB did not physically hold the receivers. I say again GB knows what to do against us… and they know what you will find out the hard way…. Devin Hester is not the fastest Chicago Bear… In fact he may be our fourth best receiver. Knox is faster, Bennett and Aromashado are better. We have not avg’d over 300 passing yards by accident. We are not a running team.

These are not the Bears of the past, they are still not a great team yet because they are still gelling and need the line to improve but be very careful in underestimating them they have weapons everywhere. Turnovers will be key in the game but I am not so sure that NY wants to get into a shootout with Cutler even if he does throw a pick or two.

Well then

I’ll let Coughlin know and just get him to mail in the 2-0 forfeit. Thanks for the heads up.

I'm not sure the Royal Bears of Chicago

will accept a forfeit via the mail. He should walk it to Soldier Field to forfeit on bended knee.

Well, regardless of how good the Bears are…

The Giants need to play better football than they did last week. If we don’t than it doesn’t matter who we play. We need to fix our special teams and O-line play. We need to cut down on the stupid penalties. We need our receives to stop dropping balls, and we need Eli to stop making horrible mistakes at critical times. It’s a tall order and not something that will happen overnight, but if we do this than we have the talent to beat most of the teams in the NFL, Bears included.

Great...now do you feel better?

What was that post supposed to accomplish anyway? Glad you love your team. We at BBV love ours…now go spew to someone that cares.

this may be true but we shall see..

i like the bears they are fundamentally sound. good run D , passing attack and s.teams. but that dont change the fact that they could be 1-2 or 0-3 just like the Giants could be 2-1 if not for a bounce here or there.
i give the Bears the edge this week for no other reason then teams play, cause we are flat out inept at it.

LOL

This post is too funny.

I won’t say that the Giants will definitely beat the Bears but it’s the Bears who shouldn’t take the Giants lightly. I read comment by Briggs about how he was “licking his chops” to play the Giants because they are turnover-prone.

That's what I'm saying!!

I say Cutler comes out gunning and Fewell’s boys get some picks.

I agree

the Bears are not just a “lucky” team.

But the Giants are indeed an “unlucky” team, all but 1 of Eli’s INTs are unlucky, I mean they’re all catchable balls but somehow the ball ends up caught by the defense. Even the 1 that was “legit” was stupid cuz Eli threw it with his left hand.

The Bears are for real…I think. But if anything people need to realize the Giants aren’t this disaster that many ignorant ESPN heads want you all to believe.

All I can say is "Wow"...that post, well, never mind

We didn't even have a chance for the "perfect season", but we did have the perfect ending.

the bears are a good team

and this is a stupid, pointless post.

Stop defending what hasn’t been attacked.

Still have confidence in Giants ability......

to recover from a disastrous game. The fact is the Giants were inside the 5 three times vs Titans that they couldn’t convert and missed 2 field goals. Thats 6 scoring oppotunities (27 points). IF the GMen could be mistake free it could be a long night for the Bears.

The story of two QBs

One with 6 picks, and four of them completely, 100% not on him…the other with only 2 picks, and the very real potential that there could have been a handful more easily.

as a bears fan

this post seems a bit unnecessary. not like we are playing the hated queens this week or anything. giants have a lot of good history behind their team like we do ours.

i will say though that #6 is impressing the bejeebers out of most bears fans this year. i am superhappy that cutler has proven (so far) to be a tough nut to crack. guy has taken several vicious hits this year and hasn’t gotten injured nor let that affect his gameplay (again, so far).

does eli take some vicious helmet-to-chin shots too or lots of otherwise plain nasty body blows? can we fast-forward life to sunday night approx. 1900 CDT now please?

I'm not sure what to make of the Giants this year

A win against a bad team, got destroyed against the Colts, and then destroyed ourselves. Both these teams ,G Men and Bears, have holes at certain positions and the game will most certainly come down to execution, that was obvious. If both teams play flawless football and it doesn’t end in a tie, then it’s safe to say the better team won. As the posters above have stated, the stats, turnovers, luck , almost interceptions, deflected balls and left handed throws are what make this game great and unfortunately for us it resulted in a Loss. It doesn’t define a team or a season and sometimes it doesn’t matter who is “better” overall, just who is better for sixty minutes, and sometimes less than that, right? At the end of the day however 2-2 looks better than 1-3 and I’ll take it any way I get can get it. Who’s the better QB, Defense, team and who got lucky or not at this point doesn’t matter.

OK so u outgained the Lions

And beat Green Bay, though I watched that game and GB looked a lot better than you. But Id like to point out that Dallas outplayed you, outgained you, and were better than you but still lost that game. So if yards were points, Giants beat Titans and are 2-1, and Dallas beat Chicago so Bears are 2-1.

Well now....

I think this post gets the post-game Antoine Dodson, once again with all due respect to the author: THIS POST IS SO DUMB.

Enjoy your 3rd string QB. Really, I have one question: what was the purpose of this post?

lol

the bears did not get lucky on this one

they are a 6-10 team

Well..

Peppers and Anderson were certainly excellent, better than I probably realized, so that was good advice coming into the game.

You also did a really good job working the term “blindsided collision” into your prediction, although you kind of missed the target.
