Deserved me thinks

Most of the defensive assistants should be gone, as should the Special teams coach.

Never assume skill at bouncing a ball makes you smarter than the guy who built the court.

Dunno why they are dragging this out...

If Wauffle is gone…none of the other guys have his resume or ‘success’ with the team.

Can em all..get it over with.

And yea, Special teams too.

Hell….throw Gilbride in the fire…

I would have thought the safeties coach would be fired before the D-Line coach

I bet the Giants clean house for their new brand spanking new DC who will be coming in from OUTSIDE the organization.

ROLL DEM HEADS!

I think

the Giants dont want to come off as panicky or knee jerk. They want this to seem as deliberate as possible to project some aura of calm, rational decision making. I’m liking it as this was needed. The players know their butts are in the sling and must be kicking themselves over the mail jobs the last six weeks of the season. This is good for all!!

Do em all now

Not sure I understand the strategy to sting this out

All D coaches and Specials should be gone already

Still laughing AT FB...

Well, 2 down, how many to go?

They started at the top and now must be they’re working their way from the DL to the secondary?! Probably evaluating each level as they go? Oh, ST’s coach shouldn’t be too much to evaluate!

Hmm...

Pepper Johnson’s the DL coach in NE…

That's what I was thinking

Too bad we/the giants won’t know what Pepper’s really thinking until the Patriots are bumped out of the playoffs.

well, sources say he's interested

obviously it’s an upgrade from Oline coach….he’d be leaving his Rabbi (BB), but he’d be coming home…..

this is actually the first name that is of interest to me….

the way this season's going and everything I don't want to happen..is...

I think it may be a while..yea.

It’ll probably somehow be the Jets vs. the Patriots in the AFC and Vikings vs Dallas(or Eagles) in the NFC…not a single ‘winner’ IMO…

Yea Free this has been an awful year

I’ve never seen a team back into the playoffs the way the Jets did this year . . . I mean come on they got freebies and absolute joke

I’m almost positive but I think this is the first time ever the Eagles, Cowboys, and Jets are all in the playoffs in the same season. It would’nt be as bad if the Giants were in it.

Get ready for Jets Eagles SB. . . I would not watch, I would go on vaction for a week.

LOL!

It doesn’t get much worst than that, unless somehow it was a 3 way game between dallas, eagles, and the jets

I can see it too..

Eagles vs. Jets wouldn’t be as bad as Dallas Jets.

..well, any of the 3 in the SB…damn.

Not many teams I’d like to see in the SB this year..tho the fact the Packers seem like the best team in the NFC is encouraging.

Other then the Patriots and Jets..the other 4 I’m good with.

Go Bengals

I hope they win it, but sadly they’re too banged up to do it unless they pull it together real fast.

When Coughlin fires a coach

does he have to clear it with the FO? I have to confess that I never even knew who the defensive line coach is? Or, to be more accurate, was.

TC says

the coaches are his to hire & fire. Though I am sure Reese and Mara have something to say about it.

by Ed Valentine on Jan 6, 2010 5:20 PM EST up reply actions

he's the guy on the sidelines

that is usually yelling and screaming something incoherently.

I always LOL when i watch the Super Bowl video and he’s on the bench in all the guy’s faces screaming and strahan turns around and says “you know who you remind me of….the guy from Charlie Brown” and than him and tuck proceed to do the “womp womp womp” sound in unison.

Can't complain about waffle gone

After all D-Line underperformed more than any unit this year.

Basically, all the D coaches should be gone unless there’s someone in there we don’t know about who’s really great. The new DC should be free to assemble his own staff.

Special teams was atrocious and they also need to get the axe.

I would leave the offensive side staff alone, unless you really want to quibble with O-Line/RBs as it pertained to our shit running game.

We also need to cut loose about 6-10 defensive players… I think Ed covered this in the season-long look with K & WW

You play to win the game!
