The next DC.....??

NYJ LB coach Bob Sutton....?

http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Source-Giants-targeting-Jets-Sutton-as-defensive-coordinator.html

Rotoworld's take: Sutton has got nothing out of Vernon Gholston (zero sacks through two years), but helped 2008 second-round pick David Harris emerge as one of the game's top inside linebackers and OLB Calvin Pace smoothly transition to a full-time 3-4 defense. The Giants can interview Sutton after the Jets' playoff run.

i would have bet money on gholston being a bust

I forget who said it before that draft, but their point was, you want a DE that looks like a basketball player, not a bodybuilder

Gholston would've been

at least decent more then likely if he was allowed to be a 4-3 DE.

I bet if he goes somewhere else eventually, he’ll have a bit of a ‘resurgence’ if its a 4-3 team.

On sutton...

I hope he’s not a candidate.

Maybe the LB’s are good..but the Jets D wasn’t really any good until Ryan got there.

True

Rex Ryan and his player imports made the team. Without him and Bart Scott, the defense isn’t as good.

Did anyone watch the Jets-Bengals game? Revis got a way with so much holding, if that was webster, he would have been called for at least 3 flags.

Never assume skill at bouncing a ball makes you smarter than the guy who built the court.

The next DC will be......

PEPPER! PLEASE PASS THE PEPPER!!!!!!!!

No DC should be blamed for Gholston.

But the more I hear about this Pepper Johnson idea, the more I like it. One thing the Patsies have always been good at is hiding their weaknesses. Lord knows we’ve got enough of them.

I left my swagger in my other pants.

Yeah Pepper!

If he goes somewhere else and lights a fire under someone else’s D that would really suck
