New York Giants wide receiver Steve Smith used his 'Facebook' page to tell fans he has been named to the Pro Bowl.

Just getting his career started...
and already a Pro Bowl WR… with the Giants no less. Broke Toomer’s single season receptions record. With Nicks and Manningham coming along nicely, and if the Giants figure out how to use a pass catching TE for something other than blocking, then THE Steve Smith will continue to make great strides. Sky’s the limit.
I prefer calling him the "OTHER" steve smith
kind of an ode to the rest of the league continuously sleeping on him, and him sneaking up on everyone. Congrats Mr. Smith, rep us well next week.

He deserved it. And I voted for him a buncha times. Now there will be a reason to watch.

I can't believe....
that the significance of this is lost on y’all. This makes Smith, the only Giants receiver to make the Pro Bowl since Homer Jones(the inventor of the “spike”) in 1968.
So far, he appears to be the best receiver we have had in maybe forever. Well deserved. I just wish he made it in the standard format where he would have had to wait for someone to drop out.

I remember being disappointed that Dwayne Jarrett (his teammate @ USC)
was taken by the Panthers a few picks earlier in the 2nd round. Guess that was pretty stupid, heh.

the Giants receiving corps is going to be spectacular next year we just need to use Kevin Boss more consistently… we can score with the best of em we just need to learn to stop teams from scoring on us at will

At this point, maybe it would be easier for the NFL to tell us who isn’t in the pro bowl. It seems like half the leauge is in this year.

They should get some CFL all stars for the AFC, I mean Young AND Garrard? They’re like 4 guys away from Jamarcus in the Pro Bowl
