Sunday gives Giants fans half of what we wanted

Thank you very much, Minnesota Vikings! Thanks for nothing, San Diego Chargers!

As New York Giants fans, we pretty much got half of what we wanted Sunday.

The Dallas Cowboys are done, left to pout about the Vikings running up the score after a 34-3 humilation on Sunday.

Thank you Brett Favre. Thank you Sidney Rice. Jared Allen. Ray Edwards. Thank you Tony Romo, for stinking up the Metrodome. Thank you Wade Phillips and Jerry Jones, for being Wade and Jerry.

At least we don't have to worry about listening to Cowboys fans brag about winning a Super Bowl. Yeah, I know they won the NFC East, and won a playoff game. I know the Giants went home early. But, really, one playoff victory in 13 years isn't really much to brag about.

The flip side is now we have to listen to the annoying ranting and chest-pounding of Jets fans. I can't stand listening to WFAN's Mike Francesa, anyway. You can be sure I won't go anywhere near the show this week.

Thanks for nothing Philip Rivers. You too Norv Turner. Antonio Gates. LaDanian Tomlinson. Nate Kaeding. Charger defense -- how can you give up a 53-yard touchdown run right up the gut when you know that is what is coming?

So, we got half of what we wanted this weekend.

Now, let's just pray that Peyton Manning and the Colts stop the Jets from doing the unthinkable next weekend.

Jets in the Super Bowl? I can't even stand the thought.

The only time I've seen Peyton get confused and pressured

was that playoff game against the Steelers a couple of years ago when their (ahem!) 3-4 defense befuddled him with blitzes for most of the game.

I’m picking Indy….

The Ravens run a 3-4

and Peyton beat them Saturday and back in 06 . . . he seems to handle Rex’s version of the 3-4 better than Pitts or SD’s for that matter. . . .let just hope he handles it this weekend.

With that said, the Jets are winning, these season just can not end fast enough.

by Landeta on Jan 18, 2010 9:03 AM EST up reply actions

Ah, '57

I know how you feel about the 3-4. The Giants, we believe, have a better coordinator now. What they need are better players. Better DTs. Bettter LBs. Faster safeties. It isn’t the system, it’s getting quality players — for whatever system you play.

by Ed Valentine on Jan 18, 2010 7:18 AM EST reply actions

How could you watch the Jets game and not long for that kind of pressure?

In my opinion the best 3-4 defense is better than the best 4-3 defense. I know it’s just my opinion because a debate like that could go on forever, but I just hate reacting to the offense which is what a 4-3 does more than a 3-4.

I'm not arguing

One vs. the other. Moot point, anyway, since we know the Giants are staying 4-3. All I’m saying is the Giants need better players. Period.

Our 4-3 in the SB vs the Pats

was one of the best performances I have ever seen.

Glad to see the Cowboys out

but I have nothing against the Jets (might be my not being from NY/NJ playing into things). The Jets went out there and did what they had to do, and bled the clock with the running game, so good on them, even if most of us want them to disappear.

great result yesterday!

Glad for the Jets; they playes like they wanted it .. AND believed they inspiringly played for their coach (what a concept ;)

Very happy I won’t have to listen to my ‘Cowboys-friends’ about their dominance any longer either!

Cowboys, Eagles, Patriots

…all out of the playoffs.

Only the Jets remain, tho I’d put them 3rd among those top ones. Aside from the fact I dislike the Jets, I dunno about anyone else but I can respect how they play for their coach. I remember that.

Can’t believe some wanted to go out and compare the 2009 Cowpokes to the SB Giants…that’s a joke.

But these Jets have a lot in common. Their first 2 wins are very similar, the Bengals are a lot like the Bucs. I’ve always thought of the Chargers as “The AFC Cowboys” (at least with Tomlinson, Rivers, Merriman et al).

They aren’t gonna take down an undefeated squat in the SB if they get there and I don’t think these Colts are as good as those Packers were….but they share a lot as far as expectaions too…no on expected this.

BAH!…..I’ve talked up the Jets too much.

The Jets actually remind me of the Eagles last year

left for dead in the middle of the year 4-6 Jets 5-5-1 Eagles. Get an unbelievable break to get into the playoffs, Indy lying down, Pitt and Denver lossing to the likes of KC and Oak. Eagles got TB giving up a 2 TD 4th quarter lead to the Raiders to allow them a shot. Then making a run. I will not listen or read any NY papers, I live in central Jersey so I get a lot of NY and Philly stuff, I’m going to listen to all Philly stuff for the week just so I could avoid SB 3 comparisons.

Glass Half Full

Hard to feel bad seeing as the Cowboys were so thoroughly humiliated by the Vikings. Now I’d like the Saints to put an end the Brett Favre & his insufferable Hamlet in a Helmet act.
The Jets played Jets football & won. What a novel concept! No DE’s in pass coverage, no big- backs trying to run outside, no DB’s flailing around like fish on the dock.
I have no Cowboys friends, no Eagles friends, & certainly no Redskins friends. A couple of Buffalo Bills but they are relatives & you can’t pick those.

Some Giant fans root for the Jets and by the end of this week a lot of them will regret it, the Jet fan and homer media types that cover them are obnoxious and arrogant and they will get on everyones last nerve this week. God help us all if the get to the SB.

Jets and Mets

As a Yankees and Giants fan I don’t understand the animosity towards the Jets and Mets fans. Sure, they whine a bit, but they root for such terrible franchises it gives them a right to whine a little. The Jets and Mets are like dumb kid brothers that can never do anything right. Let the Jets have some success. I’m sure they’ll end up blowing it somehow. And Ed, I have to disagree with you about listening to Mike Francesa, the guy gives an educated, well thought opinion. He’s a lot better than that idiot Carton they have in the morning…

A Donkey getting punched in the nads is more informative than Craig Carton

It’s wierd with me I’m a Yankee Giant Fan too and I root for the Mets but I can’t bring myself to root for the Jets. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that the Jets play in our stadium. There front office is always trying to grab headlines. Most of the the local radio and media personalities are Jet homers so every year the hype surrounding the Jets is unbearable and now that for the first time in 40 years they’ve lived up to that hype it’s pretty hard to take. To me the local media is tough on the Giants but is in love with the Jets. I also don’t like Rex Ryan or Sanchez. Niether guy has paid their dues as a HC or QB they came in as part of a hype machine and it bothers the hell out of me that it’s working out. I mean I would not root for either of these guys no matter who they played for but the fact they’re on the Jets bugs me even more. I don’t know I wish I could root for them like I do the Mets in Baseball but I just can’t. Maybe casue some of my Giant friends are Met fans and they are good loyal fans while the few Jets fans I know just tell me over an over again Eli sucks and the Giants are overratted.

I got what I really needed ...

The Boys humiliated. Peyton will talke care of the Jets.

The real question after yesterday in Minny, is do we want Wade back or not ? I’m conflicted, as there is always great satisfaction when there is turmoil in a division rival’s staff/roster, but the status quo may be better for next year for us. It’s often addition by substraction (think Dallas getting rid of T.O., Pacman, Tank, etc. last year).

by Shofner85 on Jan 18, 2010 9:17 AM EST reply actions

I don't think they'll be as good as this year

The secret to fixing them is overhauling that OL.

I mean…all 5, should probably be gone. It takes a QB like Romo to mask how bad they really are…but when you get a DL like the VIkings (or even better..the 2007 Giants DL), you just can’t hide it.

That said..I can’t see Jerruha doing it.

I think Wade’s coming back too…that is, if he really wants to. Who knows on Jason Garrett too…most Poke fans want him gone, but he’s a whole lot like Gilbride…does it really make sense to let him go?

To say the least…gonna be an interesting offseason all around.

Another name to look at is Norv Turner. I think regardless of what happens to Gilbride, the Giants should take a look if Norv’s without a job.

How come China can't vote David Lee for All-Star?

by FreeBradshaw on Jan 18, 2010 9:39 AM EST up reply actions

Agreed on Norv ...

I replied to one of your posts from yesterday that I wouldn’t even wait for KG to OAK if Norv’s available. Very creative offensive mind, but a cream-puff in the Wade mold as a HC. I wouldn’t even mind if KG let go and Palmer elevated.

Mixed feelings at this point on KG. I’d be nervous if I were him over the next few weeks as teams get eliminated, and other candidates become available. I wouldn’t be surprised if TC and the Giants’ brass are conflicted as well.

seems at this point its moot, as is Phillips.

Jets

I agree with Aceholioo. Are Giant fans so un-gracious that they can’t root for the Jets? Are they afraid of the Jets taunting? It sounds like the Cowboys whining after Brett throw that last touchdown pass. Dallas lost fair and square and all they can do is complain. The Jets played better than the Giants this year. Root for the giant stadium.

I'm from Long Island, so...

… Growing up in the early 80s, the Island was majority Jets country. Still living off of Joe Willie’s memory, and believing Richard Todd was taking them to the promised land. Giants were the basement team, 81 discounted, 82 and 83 supposedly giving proof to the belief that the Giant would never win anything, were ugly and worthless and the Jets were the sexy beasts of the east coast. In short, I effen hated the Jets. But now… older, mellower, wiser (I hope) and I have to give props where props are due. The Jets are closer to what we desire and thought the Giants would be than the Giants are. The Jets deserve the support of NY fans. They’ are miles above us defensively, and it’s not the schemes (mostly) it’s the players. I agree with a previous post and have been saying it for 8 months now. The Giants do not have a very good defense. We need better players. And until then, we will not be as good as the other NY team. Hate the Jets all you want. At this moment, and things can, of course, change, the Jets have a better future than our Giants. They’re younger, hungrier, more enthusiastic. Can we get three shots of that for our coffee before next season? Hmmmmm. Hope so. Or we will be looking up at that annoying Fireman hat guy for some time.

by ZILLAG on Jan 18, 2010 9:44 AM EST reply actions

It's players and Schemes

They had a lot of the same guys last year and went to crap on D. Balt’s D was not as good either this year. Don’t kid yourself Shceme and motivation has a lot to do with it, these guys want to play for their coach while they did not want to do that for the Manginius. Do you think this Jet D and team is as good with Mangeni coaching them this year? No freaking way. Midway through 08 it looked liked like the G-Men were the next dynasty, things change quickley in this leage, sure the Jets are better this year but things change no dramaticley from year to year you really don’t know who will do what next season. Faneca, Woddy, and T. Jones can pull a Seibert, Mcknzie and BJ next year and that O goes to crap. Those guys are older and don’t have much time left who knows

And Beasts of the East coast? They made the Playoffs in 81 and 82 after sucking in the 70’s like the Giants did, were they really that good? Seems like they were above average if anything. And unlike the Jets in 81 the Giants won their playoff game while the Jets lost to the Bills. . . sound like your typicall obnoxious Jet fans.

one year zill...

I don’t think anyone can argue that the Jets have a nice team.

While its extremely annoying…the comparison’s so far (important…“so far”) to that 2007 Gints team is legit, as far as expectaions for the Jets, and their “why not” attitude.

But! its one year.

Better comparison for the Jets…the 2008 Ravens. Rookie QB. The Jets running game is a lot better, but the Ravens 2008 defense was better.

Point; Look at the 2009 Ravens. Got there again, but…got taken care of by a superior team.

Going forward…I guess its good for the Jets to finally have a team…but I’m certain the same thing was said about them in Mangina’s first year.

Give it time…

They are also a New York team, and my family has always rooted for both teams, watched both teams’ games each week, and tried to go to the Jets-Giants pre-season games each year. I hope they go all the way.

I think it is silly to root against the Jets simply because the Giants decided to pack it up and go home well before the season ended. I am enjoying the Jets’ run. J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets.

Jets did well

I am all in favor of the Jets’ success. It puts pressure on the Giants to stay as the top dog in the NYC area.

Their coach has a plan and the players have executed it with glee. While all the other teams are playing Daryl Lamonica vs. John Hadl bombfest, the Jets are playing ball control, defense and have DBs that actually cover receivers. From wathcing the Giants’ DBs, I thought DBs were no longer allowed to cover receivers—some kind of rule change I missed.

I think the Jets could surprise the Colts. Maybe the Jets can see what the Ravens did wrong. The Jets are the Ravens North.

The worst part of it is the Eli thing…Jet fans will say Eli stunk in 2007 too, which he really wasn’t anywhere close to as bad as Sanchez.

But to this point, they’re more like the 2008 Ravens or the 2008 Eagles.

However….they beat the Chargers…who = Cowboys. They take on the Colts? Peyton…HOFer and GOAT candidate, similar to 2007 Farve.

And what if they play the Saints? Prolific offense, damn near undefeated but didn’t have the Patriots luck/cheating.

I definitely agree

that Sanchez hasn’t really shown anything. He gets great protection and really hasn’t been asked to make any plays. His one play with a man in his face yesterday, he throws a bad pick. I still think that the Jets made a big mistake by not getting an experienced back-up in the offseason – they’re in decent shape now, but with a QB that could actually make a pressure throw they might of had a legitimate shot to win the SB.

One Answer

I know how the Chargers defense could give up a 53-yard touchdown run right up the gut when they knew it was coming : Obviously it’s speculation at this point, but apparently they were taking notes from our defense this season.

We didn't even have a chance for the "perfect season", but we did have the perfect ending.

Two Comments

1 – Much as I dislike the Cowboys, I did think it was disrespectful and classless of the Vikings to go for a touchdown when they were up 27-3 with less than two minutes to go. A kneeldown, giving the ball back to the Cowboys, would have maintained the illusion of respect and would have been a much more forceful statement of the Vikings’ superiority.
2 – Whether you like the Jets or not, it is most interesting to see what Rex Ryan has been able to do with a team that went nowhere under Mangini. Coaching does matter! It also makes me wonder why Holmgren is keeping Mangini in Cleveland.

by Mickey C on Jan 18, 2010 11:15 AM EST reply actions

ehhhhh

probably material for a jets board post, but its probably worthwhile to point out that mangini led the jets to the same record last year as they had this year. the difference being that in the last 2 games of the season the jets got gimmes from the colts and bengals.
if the colts play to win, and the jets split those last two games then they probably finish out of the playoffs.
meanwhile in cleveland, a team devoid of real NFL talent mangini has them playing hard and buying into his system.

it was popular to bash mangini all year because of his failures here and early in the season in cleveland, but when you really look at it…Rex isn’t doing all that much different.

by cntrlalt on Jan 18, 2010 11:47 AM EST up reply actions

The one difference I would say

Is Rex realized Sanchez would just continue throwing INTs so he backed him down and just ran the ball all the time, which is something Mangini should have done last year when Favre injured himself.

by Mount17 on Jan 18, 2010 11:28 AM EST reply actions

Probably not likely?

I’m under the impression that Jerry thinks highly of Miles and even if he is offered something big, Jerry would presumably match it. Also, i think the Redskins only have 5 picks this year, coupled with the fact that they have new management now that may curb the notion of mortgaging the future.

Rex Ryan

The guy is good for football. He’s honest, funny, confident in his team, and his players love him. He’s a bit of a loudmouth, but that’s nothing new in the football world…As far as Minn scoring late, what are they supposed to do? Kick a field goal? Just give Dallas the ball? This is the NFL, two W’s removed from a Super Bowl. Man up and stop them. Football isn’t a sport to worry about hurting someone’s feelings; it’s a sport that simulates a battle for land. as a giant fan for 55 years it irks me to see the jet defense do everything the giant defense doen’t do. jets tackle, put great pressure on quarterback, hold completed passes to minimum gain after catch. the list goes on. the more i see the jets, the angrier i become at coughlin, sheridan and the pathetic defensive unit. i have never witnessed a team deterioerate so quickly. in the 3rd and 4th games against helpless teams they couldn’t come up with one sack. losing five games by twenty or more points. i hope reese keeps coughlin on a short leash. he can’t motivate them any more. reese must make money available in free agency to rebuild that defense. most of the time the pass rushers never got within a zip code of the quarterback.

Heard it here first

I guarantee you that Gruden leaves Broadcasting to take the San Diego job.

It’s so much like the Tampa situation that I see it as a given at this point.

I’m not sure why everyone is so surprised at SD losing to the Jets. SD hasn’t blown out anyone this year and barely beat the Giants with our ridiculous pass coverage. Why did we think they could put up 20pts against the best defense.

If I’m SD – I let Ladanian go ASAP as he is always hurt or comes up short in the big games. A big time Mr. September.

JETS – Why are we so mad at them? Because they are in the playoffs winning or that they play the kind of ball we wish we did in Giant land. I’ll be rooting for them rather than the Colts this weekend. I don’t dislike Peyton and Co. but rather I love hard nosed, attack defense, running the ball down your throat football. That is why I became a Giatns fan back in ’84.

I just get the feeling that Minnesota is going to come up short this weekend.

the giants have as much talent as the jets. what they don’t have are inspirational coachs. coughlin looks confused and bewildered. losing five games by twenty or more points should be a red flag to reese and giant owners. as for fransesca, i can’t watch him anymore. he has fallen hopelessly in love with himself. he talks down to people who disagree with him. even though dog was not a yankee fan at least he was polite and respectful of those who called in. again his arrogance has lost me fore ever.

I dream at night

of Jerry Jones firing Wade and promoting that Off Coordinator. That defense will crumble and they’ll start to pass the ball more and ignore the 3 stellar RB’s they have.

I don't know about you guys.

But i wanted the Chargers to lose, Everyday me and my friend(both from New York) argue who is better the Giants or Charger then that escalates to who is better Philip Rivers or Eli Manning. And one of my points is that Philip River doesn’t have a Ring nor Super Bowl MVP.

Eli vs Rivers

It might be that I went to NC State but I think Rivers is a better QB but it’s hard to argue when you look at hardware. I’m sure when the dust settles that Rivers will go without a SB ring but I’m sure his winning percentage, yards and playoff wins will be higher then Eli’s.

I think it’s a challenging debate because Eli doesn’t get to go against perennial cupcakes Oakland, KC and a barely above average Broncos. Eli goes against Dallas and Philly twice a year.

As an Eagles fan,

I don’t really understand your hatred of the Jets. I thought that I’d come on here and you guys would be happy that a team from New York is moving to the AFC championship game.

Was I wrong to think that??

by thwalls on Jan 18, 2010 1:02 PM EST reply actions

are you from Philly?

Most teams have only one team in their city.

As a Giant and Yankee fan…I can’t stand the Mets and the Jets, mainly cuz of the red headed step child they are to the Giants and Yanks.

A few NY fans will root for NY…but a lot of fans of one side can’t stand the other.

From what I’ve gathered, it definitely is something that people from other areas with one team in a particular sport, just don’t understand.

F the Jets.

How come China can't vote David Lee for All-Star?

by FreeBradshaw on Jan 18, 2010 1:12 PM EST up reply actions

Yeah, I’m from Philly.

I guess that makes sense though.

by thwalls on Jan 18, 2010 1:14 PM EST up reply actions

its just the way I was brought up.

I’ve grown to despise Met and Jet fans…well, at least when talking sports….

Its something that even when I try to explain, its tough cuz its just 2nd nature. It kinda seems like it doesn’t make sense….but trust…it does.

How come China can't vote David Lee for All-Star?

by FreeBradshaw on Jan 18, 2010 1:20 PM EST up reply actions

Think of it this way

imagine there was another team in Philly that does not have the tradition, legacy or success of the Eagles that has a small fan base that was mostley composed of the biggest dirtbags, least knowledgable loudmouth Philadelphia fans. And imagine every year during football season the local Philly paper and radio stations dedicated the majority of their time and energy talking about this second rate team and with a significantly smaller fan base and how they will get to the SB everyear despite them almost always being a 3rd place team and the only time the Eagles got attention was if they went deep into the playoffs or made a SB run. (and even then the media spends too much time talking about who the new QB or coach for the other team will be next year) Throw in the fact that that other team plays in your teams stadium and it’s really really tough to root for them. In fact the only thing I root for is for the Jets to relocate to LA.

by Landeta on Jan 18, 2010 4:28 PM EST up reply actions

also if the jets win the SB

they will open up the new stadium on thursday, on primetime, with the championship banner.

Doesn’t get much worse for the other team in that stadium

by mclaren_is_the_best on Jan 18, 2010 1:15 PM EST up reply actions

It's only a football thing for me

I’m a mets fan, but root for the yanks when they don’t play the mets.

Its mostly because the Jets get all this attention despite this being the first year they’ve ever been good, which has led to tons of bandwagon Jets fans.

Never assume skill at bouncing a ball makes you smarter than the guy who built the court.

When there's a WILL there's a WAY

by Willgfass on Jan 18, 2010 1:48 PM EST up reply actions

Great point

For as long as I could remeber, mid early 80’s, the NY media hypes the Jets going into every season as this will be the year and it’s a SB for the Jets while they are hypercritical of the Giants. 8 out of 10 years the Giants are better, while Jet Fans bitch and moan and say how “overrated” the Giants are. For the first time in my life it’s actually worked out in the Jets favor and we won’t hear the end of it for the next 10 years about that 09 season.

by Landeta on Jan 18, 2010 4:13 PM EST up reply actions

i don't mind Fredo winning

i think it’s cute that the Jets won a game of consequence for the first time since the conflict in Vietnam. good for them. one thing i will say is that i wish the Giants played with as much confidence as every single player on their roster does.

i was far more interested in the result of Cowboys/Vikings, which of course went in my favor. i’ll miss bringing up the fact that Dallas hasn’t won a playoff game since December of ‘96, but hey – they haven’t been to an NFC Title game since ’95. new curse?

by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Jan 18, 2010 1:19 PM EST reply actions

What do you have against the Jets?

Their fans aren’t allowed to be happy for once in their miserable lives? I don’t see how any Giants fan would waste any time rooting against a team that is almost completely irrelevant to us.

There’s no rivalry with the Jets. None.

Against? No.

It’s a waste of time and energy to actively root against a team that is virtually irrelevant to my own.

I agree Jerk

to me the Jets are like our baby brother. Kind of like our, ahem, Eli.

I say let the little dudes get there nut off for once. it’s been 41 years for Christs sake. Jets fans for the most part are passionate, but humble. a bunch of Benigno clones. Almost self loathing. If you don’t wanna root for them, then at least feel bad enough for there organization and hope that a bone is thrown at them.

i like the Jets so i'm happy for 'em

Plus them dudes over at the Chargers page were really feeling themselves. you’ve gotta respect a number one D, no matter what team they are. To predict your team putting up 30 and up – disrespectful to the number 1 D in the league.

by wilddre22 on Jan 18, 2010 3:18 PM EST reply actions

HA!

clever play on words bobbi…but i was never convinced they were as good as there record indicated. I wasn’t impressed with there win against us. it took a choke job from our O-line in the last few minutes to even open the door for that vic. to me it seemed like smoke and mirrors – and it showed sunday.

Jets in Super Bowl

I wouldn’t mind seeing the Jets in the Super Bowl.
Give the Giants front office a real good kick in the ass. WAKE UP..

by Gray-wolf on Jan 18, 2010 4:46 PM EST reply actions

Well I have a differing point of view, but those of you who bear with me already know that..

I was not pleased to see the NFC East Flame-out especially in the fashion that Cowboys did it 3 lousy points against an ’ol Fart with an arm…I was extremely happy to see the Jets win for one reason and one reason only..with Favre and Rex Ryan winning, I know for a fact that when I walk into a goddamn Wallgreens or CVS there will be a full stock of Kleenex there..It is a total bitch getting Kleenex when Rex loses and Favre retires.

by Bobbiblue on Jan 18, 2010 4:52 PM EST reply actions

No one thought of it yet?

If the Jets wins win the SB they will open the Meadowlands Stadium next season.

That alone is enough to root against them.

Yeah, we like NFL here in Brazil.

is it that bad

that i actualy like to see the jets win??

im a giants fan always.. but being that were out and i would never root for a division rival. i actually am enjoying the sight of the jets doing well..

i dont see the rivalry b/w giants fans and jets fans because i live in VA. so when cowboys, eagles and skins fans all talk shyt to me.. i say. “hey, the jets are makin some noise”…

The Jets winning

doesn’t really bother me that much. The Giants won the SB three years ago and the Yankees won the WS this past year. Last time the Jets won the SB:
- the internet (ARPANET, not the WWW) was just launched
- gas was 35 cents a gallon
- Fran Tarkenton was the Giants quarterback
- Pete Rose was allowed in baseball.
- Horace Clark played 2B for the Yankees, and Jake Gibbs as the starting catcher

It beats seeing Dallas or Philly winning it.

In reality, I think the Jets run is done – I think Manning will handle the pressure better than Rivers did. Plus I can’t see the Colts kicker missing three FGs. Should be a good game though.

Go Jets

Its was amusing and wonderful to see Romo become Romo again. Classless Jerry, Wade the Befuddled and the whole confused staff got what they deserved, a true butt kicking!!!!. The Jets on the other hand have a real shot at beating the Colts if they play the same intense game. No they cant “blitz” with certainty but they will probably play 5 down 1 lb and 5 dbs the whole way. I will raise a beer to them all the way through.

Go Jets

I like seeing NY win, the Giants are out of it and I don’t care for Indy, New Orleans, or Minnesota.

i’m happy that dallas and san diego lost i dont care who wins the superbowl as far as the jets they deserve to be where they are no romo or rivers lol
