If only to keep Barber, Whitten, etc back in the backfield blocking instead of catching passes.

Enough about Favre
it’s not that he shouldn’t have the opportunity to play if he wants to. It’s that he is dishonest and uses his “retirements” and “contemplation” to manipulate the system and will lie to your face to get what he wants. Then he just pulls the “aw shucks” routine, and everybody slurps him. Plus, when did he get the monopoly on having a good time doing his job? Okay, rants over. Back to your regularly scheduled broadcast.

couldn't agree more
in theory, I love guys who hate to hang ‘em up. Rickey Henderson became one of my all-time favorite baseball players when he played in the independent minor leagues just so he didn’t have to stop playing. I appreciate the fact that Favre wants to keep playing – what I hate is the drama he creates EVERY offseason with the “will he won’t he” and the way he was willing to screw over Aaron Rodgers.
Ok, no more Brett Favre talk from me until we play the Vikings

Halftime
The Giants defense is dominating as expected. Eli Manning seems a bit off tonight. I always defend him from the critics but I have to say he has thrown some bad balls tonight. Hopefully, he will settle down the 2nd half.
I’m really beginning to question the play calling when Big Blue is in the “green” zone now. I think they need to be more aggressive.

Bad Night
Is it me or does seem like the whole offense is a bit off tonight now? I can’t tell if it is the players or the play calling. The green zone play calling needs to be more aggressive no doubt. But as a whole, now I’m starting to see what many have been saying about Gilbride.

that was nobody but the play callers fault. Why the hell are we throwing to our FB when we have TE’s and WR’s very capable of making a play. Unless that was a safety valve pass (which I doubt) I’m really not liking the play calling at all tonight. I think you can see the frustration on the players faces, including Eli.

Now that miss REALLY sucks
should be a two score game.
Basically, 11 points left on the board
4 points on two occasions (the differential between the field goal and the TD), and 3 points on one occasion (the missed field goal).
So we could be up 17!
by Caseys Kiss of Death on Sep 20, 2009 11:23 PM EDT up reply actions
Which is why no one is "scoring" it as such
but rather commenting on the frustration of our repeated shortcomings and how it has cost us tangibly.

One probelm with that piece of wisdom
a missed FG from 29 SHOULD NOT happen (hence my lamenting it being missed). Counting FG as TD in a “should be” score is just silly when they lamed their way to that scenario.
of course tynes misses the shortest one

Could the Giant players really that bad? or the Cowboys players that good?
I don’t think so. SOME THING HAS TO CHANGE.

and Leodis McKelvin is 0-1.
And Tom Brady is 0-2.

tsk tsk on the pats loss...
but I was pleasantly surprise with how well the Bills played most of the game except for a couple plays in the waning minutes…
don’t follow them, but I thought they were going to be a decent team this year, and turns out they are better than avg – from what I saw…
but long season ahead…

eli
pulled it out somehow. neither team played too well, but NYG!!! was a bit better than Dallas, and that’s all that matters!
Wade called that time-out
because he wanted to order one of those 60 dollar pizzas before time expired. You can’t order food once the game is over.
If not for Bruce Johnson's pick 6
we lose this game… A win is a win.
I hope that all of the injuries are minor and heal quickly.
and the missed opps in Redzone is what really hurt us today!
Opus smart , lascivio magis , intereo gauisus...
if not for the RZ failures....
the Tynes missed FG….
This game was a blowout, for the Giants, like last week.
Eli said it too. Team can’t keep leaving points on the field…
What the f$%k is the internet?

Neither team did that welll
If Giants made RZ conversions, or if cowpies not turn over the ball, and the game would have been a blow out. Both teams made critical errors. Both teams played well in some spots.
Gotta compliment the Dallas run game. It was good. Gotta love the Giants pass defense.
I hate these so called ANALYSTS
freaking Dungy and that old a** patriot…
shouldn’t even be talking – they have no idea what they are saying…
Opus smart , lascivio magis , intereo gauisus...
Well it seemed like Collinsworth and Michaels felated Dallas all night
Theyre just as bad as Buck and Aikman
Collinsworth was highly complimentary of the Giants tonight
I can’t count how many times he talked about how great Manning looked, or how FANTASTIC Steve Smith was as a route-runner.

true, I hate them even more...
I had to mute the TV before the 2 last second FGs by Tynes….couldn’t bare to hear those guys

Just like to make it offical
the Giants have OFFICIALLY won an NFL game in front of the most fans in history!
And it’s all the sweeter that about 96% of them weren’t rooting for us!

i'll take it
between the injuries and the 100k road fans amped up in their new stadium… This was a battle. It wasn’t a gem, but we got it done.
No sacks for either team. Credit to the O-lines.
Something nobody commented on all game
I didn’t want to say anything for fear of jinxing it (seriously). Corey Webster vs other team’s top WR: 2 games, 3 catches, 24 yards. The man is quietly setting himself up as a dominating, top-5 CB. Two #1 receivers absolutely turned into non-factors.

Good call
W/ the exception of that one bad missed tackled, not hearing his name works for me.

no one gives C-Web any credit
people should seriously start giving him some pro bowl nods. sometimes i like when things go under the radar but this guy deserves some recognition

7 tackles and 2 INT’s while playing hurt

2 INTs?
Oh yeah…I forgot about the second one because it looked so much like Tony Romo was punting to a return man.

wow
what a team we have ourselves. eli impresses me more and more all the time, and somebody seems to step up whenever we need it.
2-0 in the NFC East – HUGE
ESPN power rankings
with the losses of Pittsburgh and New England the Giants should move up to number 1
oops I crapped my pants!
good point
id be shocked if they werent

Now we can't be looking ahead
We have to take care of Tampa. Not that KC is worth looking ahead too…

LOVED Smith's TD
that shuffle fake move – looks like he was doing the running man in place and that cowgirl bit on it…hahahah
then he goes semi-super man for the endzone and the nice dance moves in the endzone was icing….
WELL DESERVED!

Woohoo!
Didn’t post during the game (mostly b/c I felt like I was going to have a heart attack on almost every drive), but I just wanted to pop in and say: Go Giants!
Jerryland has been defiled. :)
Hope I’ll be in Tampa next Sunday watching the G-Men dominate in person. Can’t wait!
In the words of the great Carl Brutananadilewski
GIANTS WIN!! GIANTS WIN!! GIANTS WIN!! GIANTS WIN!! GIANTS WIN!! GIANTS WIN!! GIANTS WIN!!
That said, this red zone stuff has to stop. I was actually happy every time a giant got stopped at the 21 or 22 yard line because I knew that it increased the odds of the giants getting a touchdown by approximately 7000%.
Great game all
Time to try and get some sleep. See how it works out. See everyone tomorrow on the post-game fun.

You spend entirely too much time thinking about men showering
(not that there’s anything wrong with that).

Eli Manning for League MVP!
That was a great Victory especially playing on the road. it proves we can get back to the Superbowl and win it again. I don’t want to hear another word about Plex being missed G is for real. Go G!
