NFL News: Brian Urlacher's season over
This is bad news for the Chicago Bears.
Brian Urlacher appears to be out for the season after dislocating his right wrist, the linebacker said Monday. The team has not given the official word, but Lovie Smith is expected to address the issue during his afternoon press conference.
Urlacher injured his wrist in the first quarter of Sunday's 21-15 loss to the Packers. He was ruled out after halftime.
When asked about his status Monday, Urlacher said in a text message that his ``season is over.''

tough, tough break for the Bears
Hate to see injuries be a factor, hope they’re LB corps pulls through OK. We’re not playing’em this year, so all the best recovery to CHI-town
You play to win the game!

I bet they are wishing that Cutler was injured...
Anything to justify that god-awful performance last night.
Eli made two bad passes into coverage yesterday, every time I saw Cutler release the ball there was way to much green around the intended receiver.

Yeah ... Cutler looked like ...
Delmomme. Just brutal.
Brutal
Tough break for the Bears. I’m sure the fans will be split on the impact of his injury. Bears fans are a tough crowd. They love Urlacher one minute, hate him the next…
I’ve been living in Chicago for awhile now and I feel bad for the fans. The ownership and management are not that good. I dated a Packers fan for ~5 years (even went to Lambeau 4 times), so I’m more partial to The Pack than the Bears.
I’m still a Mets fan too. I don’t root againt the Cubs (‘cept vs. Mets), but it is just so sad how they might never win a championship. Ever… Wrigley is fun, but I can’t handle that much losing… Don’t ask me why I’m still a Knicks fan. :-(
whatever
they got Michael friggin Jordan. I don’t care if the rest of their sports teams lose every championship, ever. They’ve had enough joy.
don't forget Derrick Rose....
before long, he’ll be chasing Jordan…don’t know about the whole 6 champs thing, but I wouldn’t put it past him. He’s got THAT sort of talent.

D.Rose is the truth
He’s an exciting player. Since I’m in the Windy City, I root for the Bulls now (when they are not facing the Knicks). They have some good young players and are fun to watch.

I'm not sad
stuff happens in the NFL. (Osi was down last year.) will be interesting to hear the fans reaction. I have heard a LOT of crowing in preseason about the addition of Cutler, etc…
Another disappointing ending for both baseball teams leads big anticipation for the Bears. Cubs and Sox fans are so divided, but there is only one NFL team. I joke with them about their unity during the NFL season.
I hated Jordan, but appreciated his talent.

We lost Osi last year.
No one gave us a break for that, saying we didn’t win because of Burress. So you know what? I’m not giving the Bears a break either. Tough loss, but tough luck. Deal with it.

We also lost Strahan
…no one (even some of us Giants fans…) kinda forget that Osi and Strahan were the starters. That’s TWO All-Pro DE’s we lost.
You can have Plax, give me the 2 All-pro DE’s back.

Also lost Shockey.
Which no one seemed to give two cans about.

No one cares...
cuz he seemed to be more detriment than help too much of the time. They lost him during the bowl run, so that’s why no one cared.
He’s a great talent, more talent than Boss. BUt Boss is a better fit for the team, cuz he shuts up (tho he does have 20x better hands).
Shockey was my favorite player during his time, but Id say they actually got better without him (kinda like I feel they’ll be a better offense without Plax and Toom this year)

we also got better
when we lost Tiki. IMO, that’s the most analogous situation to Plax – we lost the best offensive player in team history, everyone wrote us off b/c there was no way we could be better than we were the year before with Tiki (hell, they barely made the playoffs and only made it b/c Tiki ran for 200+ yards in the regular season finale), but instead of sucking the running back platoon of Jacobs, Ward, and Bradshaw ended up being even better than Tiki and we won the Super Bowl.
