New York Giants training camp: Fight night, and I missed it
Of course, this would happen. Saturday night was Fight Night at New York Giants training camp, and I was not there. Mike Garafolo has the blow-by-blow, and a report on the rest of practice.
Here are a couple other stories from camp that can be found on the Inter-Google.

Hey Ed
Hope your having a fun relaxing break….It is nice to hear they are getting a bit pushing and scuffling in, but man, it cost us a lineman..Coughlan apparently went ballistic…It is good they are getting tough, but not at the cost of a teamate..If this keeps up we’ll be fielding the practice squad.
Ed...you didn't miss much
from my vantage it wasn’t that serious…you could tell kehl was pumped up but i didn’t even see punches thrown…just pushing and shoving.
I’m not surprised to hear Nicks has a hammy issue, the whole time i was there Nicks didn’t do anything…i mean nothing, i don’t even think he put his helmet on the entire practice…but i’ll tell you who impressed me a lot; Ramses Barden. Not only is he a physical freak but he was making plays, caught almost every ball that came his was and did a great job fighting off defenders to ensure those catches.
I don’t think i’m going out on a limb at all when I saw Barden will be a flat out star in this league…I see more potential there than pretty much any other WR on the squad. It’s hard to imagine that this guy was around in the 3rd round….the kid is gonna be great.
Brown also looked impressive. Hagan played very well on Saturday too. Boss had a great 1 handed catch when they were running goalline drills.
Barden
What I love is that I see a guy who doesn’t really need to be open to make plays. He can be well covered, but still use his size and strength to catch the ball. Can’t teach those kinds of gifts. Every time I watch the guy I can’t believe he lasted until the tail end of the third round.

what are we gonna do with all these WR's?
after the draft i thought Barden might be a practice squad guy for his first year but after seeing and reading about what he’s doing in camp I feel like he has to be on our 53 man roster. Hagan has played very well too and I hate to say it but he may take Tyree’s spot. Tyrees’ saving grace may be his special teams play Hagan is clearly having the better camp. Heck even the guy wearing #15 with the long name (which escapes me right now) is making plays. I suppose we could carry 8 WRs… if we do this is how i see (not in any particular order) but i think 7 may be the more realistic number.

Nicks
Barden

Yes...Good Question
All the critics are have been saying all along how weak we are at reciever…I say “nuts”…What we have here is a very nice dilemna…I am more worried about our back-up centers..They can’t snap and block (walk and chew gum) at the same time..
Receivers
We may not have one superstar, but there are 8 NFL-caliber receivers in camp. A good problem.
