Shawn Andrews update
tell osi and tuck to start sharpening their teeth.
andrews has been given much slack by the fanbase, but our patience is running thin. he took most of last year off due to mental/physical ailments. he was supposed to have a great rehab and good offseason, but this kind of reporting does not give me confidence that he will be there for the eagles line this year.
given his mental state over the past year, i don't expect andrews to be of much impact. he has commented before on how he never wanted to play football, and a back injury would be enough to keep him out and still get paid.
that said, oprion B is winston justice (hold your applause). option C is to resign runyan.
if i were mcnabb, i would be a little more than concerned at andrews demeanor.
this has been the worst training camp ever.

Which Andrews is this?
The guy playing tackle or guard? I would guess tackle based off the Osi and Tuck line.
Regardless, I have a hunch he will be fine this year as far as performance goes (barring injury of course). Just a feeling, but after a lay off like that, most players (regardless of views expressed previously) come out trying to prove everyone wrong.
As for Option B and Option C, I am unsure about which I would prefer (if I were an Eagles fan).

Yeah...
They signed Stacy Andrews, who played RT for the Bengals, and moved him inside to play RG. They took his brother, 2-time Pro Bowl guard Shawn Andrews, and moved him out to RT, where the Eagles have felt for years that he could dominate.
However, the article you linked to is a blog by Gary Cobb, who is basically a dolt. Option B, as he puts it, is certainly NOT Winston Justice. Option B would be to move Stacy Andrews back out to RT, and move Nick Cole (who filled in spectacularly for Shawn Andrews last year) to RG. If they sign Runyan, it would merely be for added depth, an insurance move, or a motivational tactic.
That said, I do agree that Shawn Andrews is beginning to become a MAJOR question mark, although the alternative option isn’t exactly as frightening as he’s making it out to be. Hope that helps.

ever since last year
I’ve been questioning Shawn Andrews’ commitment to football.. it just looks like it comes easy for him hence he doesn’t have to work. His brother seemed to have to work for it and i get a whole different vibe from seeing him interviewed.
