It seems New York Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes, third from right, hustled back to New York Tuesday to join The Rockettes and a man dressed as Santa Claus as they perform in front of Radio City Music Hall Tuesday in New York. The Rockettes were celebrating Christmas in August with outdoor chorus line. Not sure Tom Coughlin will get a kick out of this.

Thanks for noting which one was Tynes.

It might have been really difficult to figure that out otherwise. Then again, I’m the kind of guy that has trouble remembering which hole in my face the pie is supposed to go in.

Also...

I never realized Tynes was gay. I guess you learn something new every day.

3 things

1. Why Christmas in August? Any time other than actual Christmas time that Christmas is celebrated that isn’t in June is too close to actual Christmas time.

2. Thank you for clarifying it was “a man dressed as Santa Claus”. I was totally thrown by the photo.

3. I swear if he comes up lame from that…

The more I think about that

the more I’m horrified at the prospect of a NY Giant obtaining a season ending injury while leg kicking with the Rockettes. Would we ever hear the end of that?

Update on Canty...

I guess Canty was doing lite jogging today at practice…says the hammy is not as tight and sore as it was earlier.

That’s what happens when you go from Camp Cupcake to a real camp. We had the same thing happen with Chris Clemons last year.

I guess they looked at Ross too....

said surprisingly his injured had NOT worsened from the last MRI.

I guess it’s still some sort of strain.

I predict that by the time I have grandchildren

we will celebrate Christmas 364 days a year, and there will be one extra special day when Christmas isn’t celebrated.

Some Questions

1. How many Rockettes got hurt by his kicks going wide right?

2. You sure that is Santa, and NOT John Carney?

3. How close to the red in the outfits will Coughlin’s face turn when he sees this?

4. Is he really trying this hard to make himself even less enamoured to the fans?

5. Or does the ability to continue to throw fans off come naturally.

Tynes...

I know tynes almost cost us the championship game…and hence the SB.

But he did hit that 3rd FG in GB…what was it 46-47 yards away?

So what he missed a FG in pre season. Yes it’s annoying that he was injured all of last year but for those that don’t remember Carney closed out the year on a pretty dismal note.

I’m glad Lawrence is back…hopefully he stays healthy. I don’t even think this is an issue of concern for the giants.

I still would like...

to see his kick-offs end up in the endzone – at least 25% of the time…heck, I can settle for 10% of the time.
I mean if Ocho-kinky can kick it to the 8 yard line and he hardly practices those kicks as much as Tynes does, I would think Tynes can add 5 more yards to the length of his kicks. Is that asking too much??
