Glad to see Tynes again
It's a good sign that lawrence tynes is back in a NY BLue Uniform. Now we can kick field goals that are over 35 yards. Don't get me wrong John Carney is dead accurate but Lawrence Tynes is a goddamn good kicker. I also had an idea for the giants' wr woes. They should sign harrison for a one or two year contract so eli has a good target. He might be old but I think he can still play.

I agree.
About Tynes.
Not so much Harrison. In theory it’s a great idea, but I honestly like our goup of guys for a better year than a very competitive Marvin Harrison. Him lurking over Eli’s shulder would probably just deter his progression.

Harrison
Harrison is a Hall of Famer, but would prefer to see our young WRs develop rather than have an over the hill guy taking up space. Marv will be signed by a team that loses a starting WR to injury. Giant offense is built around the running game and short passes anyway.

Giants need all the roster spaces they can find
Harrison is not a good idea in any way, shape, or form.
disagree and disagree
Tynes is an absolute mess. He set up his NFC CC heroics by missing twice. He missed last night. He misses all the time. Between him and Jay effin Feely, I feel like the Giants haven’t had a strong shot at 45-yard field goals in years. I hate seeing other teams consistently knock down 55-yarders when we’re a coin flip over 40.
And if we wanted to sign Harrison, we could have just kept Toomer. Ben hit the nail on the head re: philosophy.

Tynes is awful...
…he’ll cost us a game this year with his scatter leg.

I think we agree on things. We’d better get Coughlin on a conference call.

yea.
I kinda miss Carney already….but only cuz Tynes blows. Carney was good in the reg. season but sucked against the Eggs. He also can’t do kickoffs for his life (either can Tynes)
We NEEEED a kicker. Id love to get whoever the hell scouts kickers for the Patriots.

over 35 yrds.....
yeah, but if you look at 07,the only ones he missed were UNDER 35 yards.also,it seems like every subsequent kickoff was getting shorter and shorter.
derek de pinho
ooops
except for the playoffs.
derek de pinho
All I know is Carney missed those two field goals against the Eagles...
And I was sitting in the stands wondering where the hell Tynes was.
Could have been a different game if we made them.

I think your nuts about Tynes
I’d take Carney over that shanker any day.
Id rather have neither
cuz while Carney was good in the reg. season, he choked in the Eggs game. He also provided other teams offense entirely too much hope with his horrible kickoffs.
Id rather the Giants trade for Sebastian Janikowski, if Al Davis would ever let him out of the gimp cage.
Giants NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDD a kicker. Where the hell is Daluiso?

Oh yeah..
Tynes can hit the ball a mile….but just like my tee-shot in Golf you never know where it is going..Unlike Golf you can’t find the ball and try again.
I def would prefer to keep Carney
His leg isn’t as strong (not that Tynes is the second coming of Delauiso), but he was def more reliable. He’d been the consistency we’d been missing at K for God only knows how long. Besides, w/ shaky leg strength, gives us more of a reason to go for it on 4th down around the 30.
How does one root for the Sox and Giants??
Yanks and Pats might be good for Tom Brady (closet Evil Empire fan) but in general seems a little odd??
blame Connecticut

I mostly think
It’s because my dad was a lousy football fan but a decent baseball fan. So he instilled the Sox fandom but mostly let me adrift on the football issue. And I picked the Giants. Woouldn’t have it any other way! plus it helps when I get intoi it with Yankee fans at the bar. At least we can agree on the Giants!
