What a shock.

Always liked McNair. Big country guy. Never a hint of trouble about him.

steve mcnair early death

it saddens me that anyone has to die this way. i was just watching pros vs joes the other day and saw steve out there having fun. i thought to myself he looks good. whatever the case may be in the end, i would just like to express my feelings to the mcnair family and thank steve for giving me the us titans fans all he had. it’s almost ironic how we came up 1 yard shy of maybe winning the superbowl, and how this youg mans life was taken from us so soon.

Shocked

I always liked Steve McNair. Even as a lifelong Giants fan, he was always one of my favorite players in football. When I was a child, I remember my excitement when I received a Steve McNair jersey on Christmas Day. He will forever be remembered as a tough player who gave it 100% sunday after sunday. A true professional and a class act.

shocked as well

“Gritty” and “tough as nails” are thoughts of mine regarding McNair. You just never know when your number will be called.

We didn't even have a chance for the "perfect season", but we did have the perfect ending.

double homicide?

McNair was shot multiple times, the woman he was with was shot once in the head. regardless of what the police say, i don’t think it takes a rocket scientist to realize that this was a murder-suicide.

it’s tragic news. McNair was one of the few players that i always admired and enjoyed watching. those Titans teams weren’t the most talented, but more often than not he willed them to victory. also, i think having McNair as a star player emerging from Alcorn State did wonders for the traditionally black colleges to earn some respect on the field.

No one has mentioned the possibility

that he shot her once, and then himself 8 times. Just sayin’.

You play to win the game!

The Big Picture

Yes it’s sad that steve had to die this way or anyine else to that matter. My condolences to the family…….This is another senseless death….The big picture here and I’m sure the police knows the truth. Why is it when someone dies everyone wants to look at how great the person was and never talk about the events that led up to it. No I don’t personally know, but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that something was indeed not ok here. A younger woman with a older married man…….I think society needs to look at offering ways to help individuals work on their inner issues. Married men seeking younger women and younger women playing into the hands of destructive behaviors of seeking married men especially the sport jocks who get caught up in their new financial livelhood and think they can have anybody they want because of fame and money…It’s time to look at the big picture in what cost will I have to pay if I seek out self destructive behaviors with my new fame. I am tired of seeing people lose their life over this type of behavior. Isn’t the fame and money enough? What more do they want? No one should ever take someone’s life because they can’t have them. They need to seek counseling and try to work through their pain, not give in to it and take someone’s life because you have not dealt with your own emotional unstability. Now a Father is gone..A husband is gone….and a young woman is gone that probably could’ve been the person that she desired to be…..All because no one ever looked at their self destructive behavior because they were focused only having what they thought fame and money gave them..
