Now, I know not everyone who reads this blog plays Madden (I'm curious about the age distribution of this website's frequenters), but I think the ratings are interesting regardless:

I think they over estimate the speed of a couple players, namely, Ahmad Bradshaw and Clint Sintim. Bradshaw is 'quick', but I wouldn't say he has that much straight line speed. He only ran a 4.6 or something at the combine (yes, yes, I remember his run against Buffalo, but still, he's not the fastest guy on the team). Likewise, Sintim isn't known as a burner. He ran a 4.80 @ the combine, whereas a Ramses Barden ran a sub 4.6, yet Madden rated Sintim as faster than Barden

Are Jonathon Goff and Chase Blackburn really the two worst players on the team?

They have Guy Whimper and Adam Koets as higher rated that Kevin Boothe, but judging by playing time last year that seems wrong.

Also, is it just me or does David Carr get no love? I really think he is atleast a marginal starer in the league. He's no Peyton Manning, but if he started on a team other than the Texans I believe he would be a top 30 QB (he wouldn't be the worst right?).

Anyway, nothing important, I just thought it was an interesing topic of debate.

Madden might actually be good this year

It has sucked ever since the next gen systems came out. They just really didn’t make the game feel like a sim and rather a video game.

The speed of the game was absolutely retarded and the fact that you run back 20 yards with the QB and still completed it (decreased a bit in last years game tho) was stupidity.

This year looks great tho, #1 to me being that reduction in game speed by 5% (a LOT).

I really don’t care what the rankings are, cuz I’ll kick the crap out of most with the Gints anyway.

Im intrigued to see what goes on with the defense this season tho.
