Video Friday: Travis Beckum
Travis Beckum was discussed quite a bit in our look at New York Giants' tight ends the other day. Here is a little Beckum video. Gotta tell you, I love what I see. This guy can catch, and he moves like a wide receiver.

Was this last year or two years ago?
I don’t recognize many people from the BigSnooze conference. That video is saliva inducing though. This guy should be better than Martellus Bennett, and without the Black Olympics and terrible raps to boot.

looks good
He looks like he would be the perfect target on slant routes, and he can take a hit an hold on to the ball.
big snooze?
now thats just ridiculous, the big snooze has the best rivalry and The Ohio State has been going to the bcs championship for half this decade. besides the sec who else does anybody talk about the acc or mountain west no way.
but he looks like a wide receiver, i like the idea of another target with great hands!
Big Ten football is boring
It’s slower bcause the fastest kids don’t want to play in the cold. Granted it’s better watching in football then their basketball, but there is no way you can legitimately say Ohio State would have the same success in the SEC or Big 12. Not even close to the level of competition overall. The USC- Penn State game was embarrassing.

one name Terrelle Pryor
Things are changing, i do agree its pretty slow. More focus on the ground game will do that. I really cant wait for the bucks to play usc at home this year. I really hope its not a blow out.
Good Pick
Reese said that he would keep LB busy – Looks good for heavy blitzing LB teams and non heavy blitzing teams at that – I’m looking forward to training camp
Great stuff
Looks like he has excellent concentration. A couple of those catches came with immediate, impact, ball seperating hits and yet he still held on to the ball. Teams are going to pay if they try and load the box thinking the Gmen can’t pass. Yeah, we’ve got a young receiving corps, but as a unit, they should be very versitile. Gilbride better go deep in the playbook this year.
Receivers
I think there are a ton on options. Not one main guy, but out of all the talent they should be able to find matchups that work.

This is why
I like this group better. You’ve got to admit that our passing attack has been rather vanilla. While popular opinion is that we have no #1 receiver, collectively we have some young, hungry, ready to prove something type guys. We have been so predictable in the passing game. I really think that Gilbride has something special on his hands and this group should pose multple matchup problems. I for one look forward to teams stacking the box. I also look forward to more bombs downfield. I think the only problem (and it’s not a problem for me) is that we have is that we have a no name receiving corps. By the end of the year the choir will be singing a different tune.
I think these kids have "game"
I am actually excited abut this group of young receivers…You have to think that Coach Gilbride is also..They can’t become markee players if you don’t give them a chance..I think this group is going to be really good. They all catch the ball fearlessly. I don’t think of this as a problem…I lean towards a nice problem..Who do I start kind of problem. These kids can catch the ball and do something with it afterwards…That is a nice problem to deal with.
