Jerry Please get BROOKS!

Stack up our LB core with a sure fire HOF..He will help AP shape up the D into a killer unit with a veteran mentality..While he is at it ...if Marvin Harrison or Tory Holt are still available ...we could add another veteran presence to the offense... Missing Sam Madison and Michael Strahan from last years Defense hurt us when the whole Plaxico thing went down and with all the rookies on both sides of the ball ..it can never hurt to sprinkle in a couple of veterans to keep everyone honest

First off

missing Sam Madison was a good thing.

2nd, Tory Holt plays for the Jaguars, and Marvin Harrison is shot. If he can’t be good playing with Eli’s big Bro and at least 8 games in a dome? No, I’ll pass.

And Derrick Brooks might be an OK addition, but kinda like the WR situation, I just see them going with guys like Kiehl and Sintim first.

This is not the Giants MO. Let Derrick Brooks go to the Patriots so the talking idiots at ESPN can lather thos fans up for 16-0 part 2.

Brooks is incredibly slow and would only plug a spot Sintim would fill so no thanks.

He could be an alright addition, but I don’t see him making huge dividends either. Only thing I could say about him is he is a champion, with a ring and was definitely a hell of a football player for sure. Does he still have any resemblance to his old form, probably not. If they could get him for cheap then I’m for it, otherwise probably pass and let Danny Clark play LB until Sintim is ready.

Roster Spots

are at a premium and I dont think that Brooks is worth one of those spots. I would rather have the new unproven guys in there and get them experience. I think the defense is good enough all around that we can make up for a couple of younger guys when they make some mistakes.
