Giants vs. Eagles: The Best Rivalry in Sports | Bleacher Report
I hate linking to the Bleacher Report, but I liked this. They left out a couple I think. Dawkins almost wiping Ike Hilliard off the face of the planet with a late hit on MNF. And the hook and ladder to Ron Dixon to save the Giants season, only to be tackled at the 6 yard line.

Sorry,
Sox-Yanks, man. I agree with the adage that their rivalry was, for 80-some years, “Like the rivalry between a hammer and a nail,” but now that the Sox have finally won the WS, it’s just the best. The fights, the signings, the pennant races & collapses, the names & incidents, the ‘04 ALCS… the list goes on and on. Bear in mind I’m not much of a hockey fan. Also I think Celtics/Lakers might be ahead of NYG/PHI.
You play to win the game!

don't know what you are complaining about...
after all, he only “almost” wiped him out. so really, brian did let up on the hit, and clearly did not deserve the penalty and subsequent fine.
o, and brian did suffer a sprained neck as a result. nothing serious, tho’.
/watches queler’s head explode.
seriously, i do love this rivalry. recently, it’s much better than dallas and anyone else. still, it is a bit NFC east-centric (not a word. bear with me) to think our rivalry is the best in sports. best in football? yeah, i’ll buy that over indy-NE, pitt-cle/baltimore, kc-oakland, GB-minn, etc.
I looked at Ohrnberger in the fourth quarter and he looked back at me. And we said, 'We're not losing this game"

dude
i didn’t even complain about the hit, I was just saying it should be mentioned. Sorry if your using the same “late hit” judgment that Jon Runyan uses.

it's a shame
that you are complaining about a legal play.
he stopped doing it when it became illegal. i thought you of all people would love rule exploitation.

despite the fact that your deliberately trying to proke me
During the Eagles’ Week 8 game, safety Brian Dawkins shellacked Giant wide receiver Ike Hilliard with a vicious helmet-to-chest hit. Hilliard suffered a dislocated shoulder and is out for the year. This “clear and dangerous” rules violation — in the words of NFL director of football operations Gene Washington — earned Dawkins a 15-yard unsportsmanlike-conduct penalty, one of the largest penalties available to referees. The NFL figured that ending a “defenseless receiver’s” season (again, Washington’s words) is worth a $50,000 fine.
They don’t give 15-yards for legal plays.

SPRAINED HIS NECK
because that cheap shot artist uses his helemt as a battering ram. Now that I’ve made that point inarguably for the 42nd time, I rest my case.
You play to win the game!

No mention of the Eagles stuffing Jacobs on 3rd and 4th down?
