Schedule sucks!
The NFL did a terrible job making our schedule this year. Many things abt it do not make sense. This is what it looks like:
Sunday, 9/13 vs. Washington
Sunday, 9/20 @ Dallas
Sunday, 9/27 @ Tampa Bay
Sunday, 10/4 @ Kansas City
Sunday, 10/11 vs. Oakland
Sunday, 10/18 @ New Orleans
Sunday, 10/25 vs. Arizona
Sunday, 11/1 @ Philadelphia
Sunday, 11/8 vs. San Diego
Sunday, 11/15 Bye
Sunday, 11/22 vs. Atlanta
Thursday, 11/26 @ Denver
Sunday, 12/6 vs. Dallas
Sunday, 12/13 vs. Philadelphia
Monday, 12/21 @ Washington
Sunday, 12/27 vs. Carolina
Sunday, 1/3 @ Minnesota
1- Playing Washington in the beginning of the season should not become a tradition, it really is not an exciting game and to kick off the season the NFL should schedule a true NFC East rival-- which the Redskins undeniably are not, I couldn't care less about them-- or what would be an exciting matchup, like the Chargers, Panthers, or Saints this year. Preferably though, playing Philly. And for the second straight season they give Redskins fans an away game to begin the season. Stupid on both counts.
2- when the Giants play a team so inferior to us... Raiders!... it should be a home game for the crappy team. G-men will draw fans to the game in Oakland; I'm choosing a game to go to with my bro and I sure as hell did not consider seeing the Raiders for even a second.
3- why the Panthers the second to last week AGAIN, and at home AGAIN? Panthers fans should have a chance to see what was a sick matchup last year while we Giants fans should have a new matchup to see, like against the Bucs or Saints at home... think about that, Shockey on the Saints back at Giants stadium or Ronde "Eli Manning and the Giants can be had easily" Barber! You get none of that effect playing in Tampa and in New Orleans.
4-Lastly, Vikings in the last week, again?! Why do we close against this team again?! and away...again! Why is the NFL making our schedule as repetitive as possible? Plus we will end up extending our losing streak against the Vikings because we will most likely (hopefully, no jinx) be resting our starters for at least a half against them. Our second and third-stringers came within a point of beating the best theyve got last year, but we'll still end up with a 3-year losing streak. And look at the talk of how Eli couldn't win without Plax, losing 3 out of 4 of our last games, including the Vikings game which David Carr Bradshaw Sinorice etc played.
So the main point...... I should run the NFL because the ppl in charge suck!
PS: I'm thinkin I'm going to go the Chargers game... watch out for me on TV, I'll be the guy being carried off by security for pegging a beer at Shawne Merriman's face as soon as he starts his lights out garbage

Its damn similar
to the 2008 schedule, and the reg season ended up pretty good did it not?
Schedule really doesn’t matter, and I personally could care less if other fans have no shot to go to a game and see the Giants.
I’ve been to 2 games at Giants stadium and I had damn good seats. But still, I just can’t see why anyone would rather go to a game than stay in the crib with the big screen, as much brew as you want, and at least one fan of the other team in the room to rag on when the Gints beat the crap out of their team….

Anyone notice
After the bye, the Giants have 4 out of 7 games at home. Is that good or bad? Considering 3 are in December! lol

No not at all
If they have the same type of season as 2008, they need those games in the Meadowlands so that they can work up a plan when they get into the playoffs.

off the top of my head
i think the Giants are 0-124 in franchise history following a bye week. therefore, i already have the Falcons game chalked up as a loss.

They've only played 20 games after a bye
Their 5-15, so it’s most likely they lose, but it’s not like they always lose.

that's pretty awful though
I mean, that spans every coach from Parcells to Coughlin, including 3 seasons that ended in trips to a Super Bowl, and for some reason they just aren’t very good off the bye. Strange.

very strange
considering they have the extra week to rest and prepare for the upcoming team.

we are not losing to the Falcons..
That Falcon defense is reaaaallly decimated. Adding Tony G to the offense will have them racking up points but the defense is going to be their boon. They’re gonna catch Cards/Saints disease of scoring 30+ points a game but letting up the same amount or more.

I know these lists are extremely arbitrary
but check this link out…. going by win pct. only, you guys don’t even have the hardest schedule in the division. Apparently we (eagles) do, with you guys right behind us
Eagles.

Eagles.

the reason for that
is entirely b/c we have two games against the 8-7-1 Eagles while you have two games against the 11-5 Giants. Take those two games out and the Giants have a tougher schedule based on last years winning percentage.

Good point
i’ll concede to that
Eagles.

Weird.
I can’t decide what are harder matchups, the Vikings and Cards for us, Bears and Seahawks for da iggles. The Seahawks are going to be back big this year with Hasselbeck Houshmanzadeh WALTER JONES (one of the best left tackles in the NFL) and a guy named Aaron Curry, and the Bears are a whole different team with Jay Cutler as QB. Kyle Orton came a game away from getting them into the playoffs. They’ll do well next season. So, Idk.
Chances the Redskins stink it up against the Lions? hahaha

vikings game
Carr/bradshaw /moss have got to win games this year! not just get close. Eli isn’t gonna be injury free forever and bradshaw/moss have their best shot at starting and contributing right now!

Seriously the poster has got a point.
I do kinda get sick of playing the Vikings every year. We really do need to come out strong though with 3 of our first 4 games being on the road. Granted playing against the AFC west should help our record out we have some tough games playing against the NFC South, which is arguably if not the best division in football. KC and Denver are always tough at home but I like our chance of starting out at 4-1.

Playing them
Nothing we can do about that, we happened to place alongside them this year (both won our respective divisions) year before NFC north and NFC east played each other in full, and the year before we each placed second in our respective divisions. But why play them at Minnesota and in the last week of the season AGAIN? It makes no sense to me. I think the NFL is planning these games entirely wrong, like I said the Giants will draw Oakland fans, in Oakland. The Raiders at Giants Stadium, hell no I have no interest whatsoever. And seeing Shockey back at Giants Stadium, or Ronde Barber, is just too good an opportunity for the NFL to miss out on. Redskins as the opener sucks. Plain and simple. It’s like getting out of jail (the offseason) and having to eat chicken noodle soup as your first meal or something… so unsatisfying. I want a GOOD game, like against the Eagles, Chargers, even the Cards— Superbowl Winners of 08 against the NFC champs of 09. Wiping the floor with them would be a much more satisfying start than the Redskins. The one thing I like about our schedule is playing the Cowboys’ first home game, that is AWESOME and I hope we destroy them.

Have to say though
How great was it to start last season with Brandon Jacobs mauling LaRon Landry?
