Drafting from a "weak" conference

This is something just a little different from the WR discussions that have been going around for the last couple of weeks.  The topic is not about WRs but inspired by a WR we drafted.

There was a post I read that showed a little concern with the number of our earlier picks coming from the ACC.  Yes, the ACC is basketball country but the football is improving and should only get better.  I'll admit that I don't see the SEC being threatened by the ACC, but I think the ACC should get a little more credit.  The ACC plays some decent ball and produces some quality players.

I've comprised a team of ACC players that would give any team a run for their money.  This is not an allstar roster but just a few starters (a couple of HOFers from the past, a lot of present starters, and a couple of future stars.

Here's my team:

Offense

Tackles - Walter Jones (Florida St) , Eugene Monroe (Virgina)

Guards - Chris Meyers (Miami), Chris Snee (Boston College)

Center - Jeff Saturday (UNC)

QB - Phillip Rivers (NC State),  Matt Ryan (BC)

RB - Willie Parker (UNC), Frank Gore (Miami)

FB - Madison Hedgecock (UNC)

TE - Jeremy Shockey (Miami), Kellen Winslow jr (Miami)

WR - Calvin Johnson (Ga Tech), Torry Holt (NC State), Anquan Boldin (Fla ST), Andre Johnson (Miami)

Defense

DE - Greg Ellis, Julius Peppers (both UNC)

DT - Travis Johnson (Fla St), Tim Bulman (BC)

LB - Jon Beason, D.J. Williams (both Miami), Keith Brooking (Ga Tech), and some guy called LT(UNC)

DB - Adrian Wilson (NC State), Brian Dawkins (Clemson), Antonio Cromartie(Fla St), Ed Reed (Miami)

Special Teams

P - Jeff Feagles (Miami)

K - Sebastian Jankowski (Fla St)

Retuner- Devin Hester (Miami)

Honorable mention for ETVal, Frank Reich,QB, Maryland.  He's only responsible for one of if not the greatest college (Maryland Vs Miami) and NFL playoff (Houston Vs Buffalo) comebacks.

While the ACC doesn't get the props of the Pac 10 , SEC or Big 12, this list shows that there are some players that come out of that conference.
