If Tuck says it
then I got to agree with it……
I’ve been saying I don’t like Edwards, but if its the right price….i.e. DRAFT PICKS ONLY!!!!!! then Im fine with it.
I like Hixon, I like Smith, I don’t know about Manningham, Id like to see him gets som work in the O, but if Manningham needs to go then Im fine with taht.
SMith and Hixon stay tho (and Kiwi while Im at it). THese guys are young, but have experience. Yea they didn’t look to good at the end last year, but they are very young. GIve them time. do NOT trade either of them.
I'm with you
I want to see a draft picks only deal get done.

I dont really buy into Hixon all that much
As a long term solution, if they get Edwards then I think the trio of Braylon/Smith/Manningham could be pretty good, especially if they can get the ball down field to Mario
Okay, just so I understand it... in your wildest fantasy, you are in hell. And you are co-running a bed and breakfast with the devil.
I could see that
but I think Smith would remain as the slot guy and Manningham the 4th still, tho hopefully getting some more time.
Hixon Id love to see returning kicks again. I know a KR might be a focus come saturday and sunday, but if they don’t get one Id love to see him in place of Bradshaw. Ahmad has OK, but no where near the threat of Hixon.

Why is a 1 & a 3 too much for Edwards ?
The consensus on this board seems to be that no receiver available at #29 can contribute any time soon, and in Manningham (a #3 last year), we still don’t know what we’ve got.
To me the real question is: is Braylon Edwards the real deal ? Is he the guy we need ? If JR is sure of that, do the deal.
The one thing I wouldn’t trade is Steve Smith, as he looks to be the real deal as a quality #2 possession receiver. Best chemisty Manning has with any receiver, including when Plax and Toomer were here.
I guess its not given how low our 1st is
And the two 2nds make up for the loss of a third, so why not?

i think
they should try a two a three and a five for edwards.. would it really hurt that much? we have two second rounders, two thirds and two fifths
It's not easy being Giants fan in Philly.. but it sure is satisfying

That would be a fine deal for us
We’d get the established receiver we crave, while giving up some of our excess picks. I think the Browns have been holding out for more, trying to get a first rounder or established player thrown in.

2 deals instead of 1
With all of the picks we have in the draft, JR is trying to steal Edwards and use other picks to package for another trade or to move up in the draft. With all the upgrades made during the offseason, I can see Reese bringing in 4-5 really strong rookies.
