oh...
“No, I don’t think so. We obviously looked at the receivers that were out there and made a decision that we were not going to actively pursue any of them.”
He was speaking of free agents not trades… No smoke, I 100% believe that they don’t want any of the free agents, its the trades that they are looking for.

Yea
I kinda got that about the FA’s too. But he really just said the ones that are out there. He could have meant the dudes that have been rumored to us through trade.
I’d still like to see what Torry Holt wants for a contract tho. To me he costs the least and has the best character out of them all. He’s still fast, he’s got better hands than any of the other dudes and he’s a vet. If we get a young WR who better than to learn from Torry Holt. Manningham and Smith could learn a thing or two as well.

Garafolo also remarked about Mara on PSLs
Garafolo: I caught the tail end of the interview when I got back in the car and heard Mara talking about PSLs. Russo had told him Wellington “is tossing up in heaven, going crazy” about the PSLs and Mara responded by saying his late father “was dealing with a completely different set of circumstances than we’re dealing with right here.” He also added with a laugh his father “never really would have let us go into this new building in the first place if he (had his way)” and that Wellington “was happy with the Polo Grounds. He told me that over and over again.”
“A completely different set of circumstances?” Who is Mara kidding?! Mara makes the decision to build a new stadium at the top of the market, gets handed cost overruns, then has to sell (naming rights etc..) into the economic downturn and gets screwed by Lehman for 300M on his financing. We ALL surmised that it was NOT a coincidence that the new stadium got done BECAUSE his father died, and now he is blaming a different set of circumstances? Typical denial. And the fans are left to pay the tab, aka PSL. Thanks John for showing us the love.
