NYT: Plea unlikely to keep Plax out of jail
The New York Times says a plea deal in Plaxico Burress' gun possession case would still include "some time behind bars."
The Times report also included the following information.
Last year, 986 cases in New York involving the same charges as Mr. Burress faces were resolved, and 90 percent of them resulted in convictions for less serious crimes, half of them misdemeanors or violations, said John M. Caher, a spokesman for the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services.
The reduced charges in such cases include crimes like third-degree gun possession or attempted possession. Convictions on those charges allow for sentences of two years or less.
With his court date set for Tuesday, I would guess there will be a lot more written about this within the next 24 hours.

I'm surprised at the NY Times
for putting out a nothing story like this. Is just me or is there nothing here that we don’t already know? This is story is no better than blogger speculation. You guys could have written it, no offense. I expect MUCH better from the Times. Why not just wait till there is some real news on this tomorrow.

Let's hope Plax doesn't have to learn the hard way ...
That spraining your MCL a week before the Super Bowl, isn’t the worst thing that can happen to you in a men’s group shower setting. (just keepin’ it real …)
