Around SBN: Jeremy Lin And How The Pac-12 Missed Him

A little pub for BBV

The New York Times' NFL blog, The Fifth Down, ran a nice look at the draft needs of our New York Giants Sunday. Yours truly was asked to contribute some words of wisdom for the piece, and I happily complied. Be sure to check it out.

I saw that when it came out and yelled out loud

I thought of something though.. How are we ever going to overcome the loss of Anthony Wright!

It's not easy being Giants fan in Philly.. but it sure is satisfying

LOL!!

It’s devastating, just devastating. At least AW will be available for the UFL.

I hope not Lauranitis tho

Id rather wait on that, even considering that Jon Goff may be just as good a prospect. Id say that only the USC guys would be just about right. They are bigger, faster and more versatile. Cushing actually can play all 3 LB positions and is big enough to lineup as a DE.

Laurinaitis

The argument against him is the failure of some other highly-regarded Buckeye LBs. It’s a concern. I am also not sold on Clay Matthews Jr. But, In Reese We Trust.

Yea

I guess it could turn out to be a crock, but guys like Katzenmoyer always stand out to me.

Clay Mathews Im definitely not sold on either cuz he seems like one of those Mamula work out type guys, tho he was good in college. He seems like he is more of a 2nd to 3rd round guy that worked his way into being a 1st rounder. Id still like it if the Giants drafted him, cuz Reese seems to know what he’s doing.

I still think that guys like Danny Clark, Wilkenson and Keihl will be given one more shot this season to be that guy on the strong side. I still can’t really see a LB in the first round either.

I still say Sean Smith cuz ross injuries are frequent and you can’t pass up a freak like Sean Smith.

I'd love to get Cushing.

It’s very possible we can trade up for him.

I really really really

don’t like that pick.

Not only do I think that Butler would be a good fit for the Giants with their last 2nd rounder, but also considering the Giants technically have 4 corners who are pretty good.

Sean Smith is actually a CB in college and showed that he could be placed there if needed in the NFL, tho yea he is a FS. BUt if the Giants go secondary with that first rounder, there is no chance of Butler and I’d say a good chance of Sean Smith. He’s probably my favorite option as our 1st rounder cuz he is tall and fast and brings a freak to our secondary.
