Giants get compensatory pick
They will get a third-round pick (36th in the round, 100th overall selection) . That means GM Jerry Reese now has 10 picks to maneuver with, including five in the first three rounds.

Don't mean to kill your dreams, but I can't ever see it happening
GIANTS are a run first team. We already have a ton of receivers they don’t seem to what to unload i.e. MOSS and JR knows we need backups for the OL. Burress is the teams high priced WR, he’ll be back and there’s two 6’ 2 and 6’ 6 backups developing behind him. The Giants passing game will be a SPREAD the BALL AROUND offfense, not an EVERYONE knows who were gonna throw it to, you try and stop us type. That kind of money can be (and will be) better spent elsewhere. We’re not the RAMS, COLTS or CARDINALS. We couldn’t be even if we wanted to; we’re in the NFC East and play outdoors in bad weather.
I was big on getting Boldin
But if he’s our #1 receiver, forget about it. I really think he only plays as well as he does because of Larry Fitzgerald, without him I just don’t see him being as effective in double-coverage, in traffic. I think he knows that and will stay with the Cards even though we, the Eagles, Ravens, Titans, Dolphins even would give him big $$. The ideal situation would be Plax #1, Boldin #2
Pot
It came from the losses of Wilson, Mitchell and Torbor following the ’07 season. There is a whole formula for value of players lost vs. players signed. When you lose more than you add, you receive these comp picks.

Really?
So that’s 2 2nd rounders 2 3rd rounders and 2 5th rounder?
Id say that trade where we offer the Shockey picks and one of our receivers would be a little bit easier now
I know you can’t trade the compesatory picks, but we can definitely find value with 2 picks deep in the 3rd round. Maybe one of those picks is Ramses Barden should he drop that far? Im sure Reese is gonna wait on him much like we did in the case of Jacobs.
