Giants, UAlbany relationship near end?
If you like checking out the New York Giants during training camp at UAlbany in the summer -- or you have always meant to go and never found the time -- you better do it this summer.
The Star-Ledger noted Tuesday that the Giants new practice facility will be open in 2010, and the Giants very well could use it for training camp.
"At some point we're going to be down here, and it's going to be great," he said. "I think the players are going to be excited when training camp comes back down to this part of the state."
So, if you want to check out practice at UAlbany quit making excuses and get out there.

I'm up for a trip to Albany this year.
Funny you should post this just now. I just left a post on another thread below asking if we were still planning a get together this year at training camp.

I've never been to Albany
I still can’t believe I never made it to a Jets training camp when they were at Hofstra, considering I grew up less than 10 minutes away. Not that I’m a Jets fan, but that’s just something I should have taken advantage of, especially b/c a friend of my dad’s used to be the head of security there. He did get me some cool autographs back in the day (Boomer Esiason, Ronnie Lott, Al Toon). Oh, well…
my brother
went to hofstra and used to see Herm every once in a while
It's not easy being Giants fan in Philly.. but it sure is satisfying

I went to the last Jets-Giants scrimmage up there
and it was a really good time!! I’ll make the trip one last time before camp moves to the new place. Two totally different settings, it’s too bad!!
That's unfortunate...
You know, its really too bad – I must say. When I lived in the Hudson Valley growing up, my buddies and I would make an annual trip out of going to training camp. And I know it means SO MUCH to the fans in the Capitol District that are fans of the team. I always thought it was a really great way for the team to reach out to the tremendous fan base in that region and I know how special the relationship between the team and the area is.
You know….it’s unfortunate; but the days of the players being comfortable with staying in small dorm rooms without usual comforts are long gone. I have SO MUCH admiration for teams like Pittsburgh and Green Bay that make the Summer Camp a tradition and a priority. Its too bad that the Giants didn’t have that same tradition – but I know that part of the way that the teams recruit free agents these days is to build state of the art facilities, etc.
i go to albany
