Another free agent update
Ralph Vacchiano is reporting that the Giants were in the mix for Albert Haynesworth for a while,
He is also reporting that the Giants are trying to get several defensive linemen in for visits.
It appears by their early actions in free agency that they are very concerned about their defensive tackle position. Barry Cofield and Fred Robbins are both coming off knee surgery, and Robbins battled hand and shoulder injuries all season long. That’s likely why the Giants pursued Haynesworth, are meeting with DT Rocky Bernard tonight, are hoping to visit with DE/DT Chris Canty tomorrow, and have attempted to set up a visit with DE/DT Antonio Smith next week.
- Vacchiano also reports that there are several teams in the hunt for Derrick Ward. Mike Garafolo says Ward is keeping the Giants in play.

I would KILL
for 6 or 7 guys on the defensive line rotation.. Canty is a hell of a player.. could this interest in 3-4 ends mean something?
It's not easy being Giants fan in Philly.. but it sure is satisfying

No, not really
These are guys who reportedly can play DT in a 4-3. What it means is that the Giants are very concerned about DT depth, especially with Cofield and Robbins coming off knee injuries.

that's true
the 3-4 would be impractical because while there is an abundance of potential OLBs on the team, there isn’t that big run stuffer in the middle. I’m thinking though if they wanted to do a scheme change that Sheridan would be the guy to do it under because of his prior job as a LB coach

BUCs/Vilma
Wouldn’t it be nice if Tampa Bay signed away Jonathan Vilma from the New Orleans Saints? Especially after New Orleans allowed him to become a free agent so they wouldn’t have to give a 1st round draft pick to the Giants?
lol
What happened to that guy running the eagles blog?? No more Ward talk? Specially after losing Dawkins and Buckhalter huh? =)
Who's gonna start at safety
for the sheagles other than Mikell?
