TC meets the press
New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin addressed the media today at the NFL Scouting Combine. Two great nuggets, courtesy of Mike Garafolo.
First, in regards to Plaxico Burress (of course), Coughlin did not seem to know how this will end.
"I don't know how you figure that. For me, that's not an easy thing to answer. To speculate is not a very smart move on my part. Obviously, we're going to do all the work with that position, etc., etc. We'll just see what happens at the end of March."
Second, TC said Mathias Kiwanuka is staying at defensive end. I think that pretty much ensures that at least one of the Giants' first three picks in the April draft will be a linebacker.

Kiwi at DE
This is the best move for the team. Our D relies on fresh and talented bodies up front coming in waves at the QB. Plus it’s good for Kiwi to stop getting yanked around and get settled in.
Agreed
It is where he is comfortable, and it gives the Giants a three-man rotation. The lack of depth hurt them in ‘08. I know there are Tollefson fans out there, but the guy really isn’t on the level of Kiwi.

i def think its the right move
but on passing downs i think they should have the line the front with osi alford cofield tuck and stand kiwi up and have him come from the side that would be ferocious
