interesting about the base defenses
we don’t have the personnel but you rarely hear of a 3-4 team that doesn’t generate at least some pressure on the quarterback
It's not easy being Giants fan in Philly.. but it sure is satisfying
people don't realize it often
but the true key to a 3-4 defense is a Nose Tackle. If the Packers draft BJ Raji from BC, their transition should go well.

yeah, that's the thing
you rely on a little bit of surprise (with regards to which of the linebackers will rush) to get pressure on the QB but you need that NT to be a guy who can play a big role in stopping the run or a good offense will pound it up your gut all game long
How the game has changed
In 1986, Jim Burt was the NT in the 3-4 defense for the Giants, he was 6’1", 260 lbs. In today’s game, he’d be a fullback.
By comparison, the current starting tackle in the Jets 3-4 defense is Kris Jenkins, he is 6’4", and 349 lbs, outweighing Burt by almost 100 lbs!

there are some interesting nose tackles though..
Jay Ratliff is the Nose in dallas and he’s only about 300 pounds.. he gets by with his quickness and ability to get penetration, Jenkins however just commands double teams on every play.

Maybe the NFL
should set weight limits for each position. I wonder how that would work out?

don't even joke about that...
the Giants would have to have all their programs re-printed listing Jacobs at 185 lbs
Jamarcus Russell
Would be playing defensive end

Tebow
Supposedly Tim Tebow played QB and starting NT on his high school football team.
I can’t stand how much everyone gushes over him; but that’s relatively badass, I must admit.
When did Big Ben become the new Farve?
You just can’t hate this guy. He just plays the game and wins them. 2nd one in what 5 years. Stank! Now we have to win another one so Eli can keep pace.
Since Ben has played with broken ribs, and fingers and head. I hear next year, Ben is going to have both arms pulled off in a crazy Motorcycle / tractor X-games spin off. And still throw for 4,000 yards.
Hey QBs…. ya’ll betta Cowboy Up boys
Kinda puts that whole Tony Bozo pinky thing in perspective.
cough wuss cough
