How awful is this? The Giants are playing the Cowboys at home in December and were talking about next years draft. I feel like a Jets fan!
I had to highlight this out of today's comments. It's from 'Landeta,' and it might be the comment of the year.

Yep
Nothing else. Just yep.
Homer: Aw, twenty dollars! I wanted a peanut!
Homer's Brain: Twenty dollars can buy many peanuts!
Homer: Explain how!
Homer's Brain: Money can be exchanged for goods and services!
Homer: Woo-hoo!

Me too
I have a horrible feeling we’re going to lose, but when I thought we were going to win, I was wrong 5 of the last 6 times. Hopefully its a reverse jinx.
Never assume skill at bouncing a ball makes you smarter than the guy who built the court.
LOL thanks for the shout out Ed
For some reason this game has a preseason feel to me. I want to see Goff play well and see how the new D-line plays together so we know what we have going into next year. I also want to see how Gatrell Johnson runs and if Barden plays in the redzone.
Any-ways I’m hoping for the best but expecting the worse none the less I’ll still be wearing my throwback Bavaro Tea shirt and acting like a nut at 4:15. Let’s go blue!
This is a very Jets season....
so….maybe we show we’re NOT the Jets and turn this thing around today?
Oh yea.
FREE GARTRELL!

Thanks, Ed for highlighting that
and L for writing it.
I know this might seem like veja-du (that eerie feeling that nothing quite like this has happened before) to you younger BBVers, but for those of us old enough to remember the Wilderness Years, this is deja-vu. Here’s the difference (I hope): It’s not going to last as long. In fact, after today’s game, the feeling will go away (hope, hope, hope.) in the words of Tug McGraw, “Ya gotta believe!”
Well, maybe not. Hope but don’t expect? Hope but don’t expect the worst?
I couldn’t watch the game if I had no hope. The Wilderness Years have finely honed my hope gene.
plain and simple this is a coaching and manhood game.
The Patriots are beating the crap out of the Dolphins after the same happened to them last Monday.
Brady’s even hurt (his index finger on his throwing hand is purple).
They’ve been coached well enough and have the pride to come out and stomp their next opponent, a division rival.
They gotta go and smack someone around.
…and have some damn fun too. This is football.
"It ain't over till its over"---
I think this feels like deja-vu
for anyone who remembers the 2003-2007 (pre-Buffalo game) seasons
"[The Giants] beat us down. We were beat by a grown-man team, a team we want to be like one day. They came in here and took it to us. Out-manned us, out-gunned us. ... It wasn't even close." - Raheem Morris, 9/27/09
Not even close, CJ
W/o getting into the gory details:
1 ‘03-’07—2 losing seasons; 2 winning, one .500; one stadium
; 2 playoffs; 1 SB.
2. ‘72-80—12 losing; 2 winning; 3 .500. no playoffs; 4 (count ’em) stadiums (should have been called the NY Nomads.)
If it’s deja-vu for you, it’s a lot more pleasant than the deja-vu of us tottering graybeards.
I'm afraid the only thing that can save this season ...
is a thrashing like the Eagles gave the Boys in last year’s finale. The time for “winning ugly” is past. The Giants have to re-convince themselves that they are actually a good team.
Depends on what kind of winning ugly were talking about. If it’s a low scoring defense battle that is always good

In retrospect, can we now agree
that this is far from “the quote of the year”???
Sorry Landeta, but I don’t buy the negativity. The Cowboys have more in common with the Jets over the past 10 years than we do.
