Osi, Robbins out
From Mike Garafolo, news that Osi Umenyiora and Fred Robbins appear to be out of the starting lineup. Mathias Kiwanuka and Chris Canty appear to be in. More on this if TC talks about it during his afternoon presser.

TC says Osi not out
TC at the presser said Osi wasn’t out and he would be in on running downs. Didn’t say how many plays he’d actually be in.
It's certainly the kind of
movement most BBVers have been calling for, Ed, even if it’s only Freddy.
Why does the image of
rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic come to mind as I hear this?
LMAO
Desperate times call upon desparte measures, at least they are shaking it up.

LOL
It can’t hurt though what’s the worst that happens Dallas rushes for over 200 yards against us again. I would not be surprised if this is the starting D-Line next year just either a FA or Rookie draft pick in place of Cofiled. Who knows maybe Canty does well inside and clogs the running lanes, if he’s worse than Robbins has been this year then JR will really have to evalulate his his FA moves.
Here's MG's 'Tweet'
“Coughlin danced around ? about whether Osi has been demoted. Did say he’ll play on running downs tho. Only ? is when + how many.”
And yes, I find it funny that I am posting stuff from Twitter.
I like this idea.
Osi is better geared for “passing downs” and may it makes him more effective, so I personally don’t see it as a demotion so much as using him to his best ability.
Freddy is shot, no one’s been harping on it..but Fred Robbins is shot. He should play, but less than Osi. Maybe he goes in on pass rush downs too?
Having TUck and Canty in at DE for rushing downs, improves the beef of the line.
Bernard looks like he’s about 375lbs, and Cofield is his steady self, so I like this move a lot.

Changes in the defense was warranted
Since to see they’re doing it.
I also would like to hear Sheridan’s going up to the booth…tho at this point in the season, don’t really know what that will accomplish (couldn’t hurt tho I guess…not like him being on the field level has helped.)
"It ain't over till its over"---
the blue screen
says osi is sitting during run plays, which is a very GOOD thing!
oops I crapped my pants!
Against a team running the ball
like dallas has been, with their massive O Line, get Osi out of there!
hope it works
not like osi’s done anything to make us question it
"We're only going to score 17 points?"
While they're switching things up...
Perhaps we’ll be seeing more of good ole’ CCB not at LB….but on the D-Line rotation! Ooh, and maybe if the Bengals win it all, Ochocinco can come kick for us too! I think I’ve got something here…
And I just realized some may take that as me being sarcastic and I DON’T approve of the switch, which is not the case. I’m all for it, just having a bit of fun. Can’t wait to put on my screw Dallas shirt.

easy Joe....
and its not like Osi’s out of the game…he’s still playing.

sounds pretty official
this is one strange season
Okay, just so I understand it... in your wildest fantasy, you are in hell. And you are co-running a bed and breakfast with the devil.

I was hoping....
That Osi would be able to suck it up until the end of the season, so we could trade him for some draft picks or a LB and Safety.
I’m from New Orleans so I grew up knowing the Saints. 100% Giants fan, but having to watch the Saints. Just like Pat Swilling and the Dome Patrol made up for a over rated Ricky Jackson, so is the case for Osi.
Some of our players just got old. Isn’t Osi 30? I say, play Tuck and Kiwi now while they are in there prime and sub Osi.
Osi is like 28
Kiwi is almost a bust but I guess he can play the run better than Osi
