Oh noes.
Anywhoo, I am psyched/ terrified. I hate this red zone matchup. Lets get some TDs. Lets hope BS has delivered one those famous motivational speeches. I always say on 3rd down (and in the redzone) throw it to Steve Smith.
There is no tomorrow! Lets go G-Men!

anyone know what local channel the game is playing on in ny?

Yeah
Disney owns ESPN and whatever channel 9 is now (UPN?).
They simulcast when local games are on cable

should also be 9-1
they have doubles on my converter box for some reason (and around 6 Spanish channels for some reason)

I feel like we'll win
the only thing I’m worried about is that the Giants historically suck on MNF.
Besides history, which is always ready to be broken, I think we’ll pwn these fools.

When there's a WILL there's a WAY
I looked it up and it's not good
The Giants have been on MNF 50 times, and have only one 18 of those games, for a .370 average overall.
Only the bears have a worst percentage and more losses. (31 vs 34)

Good news though
we have won the last three games against the redskins on MNF, while the ’skins have only beat us twice
However, the last time we played them on MNF was back when HW was president in ’89
So we’ll see which side of history wins out

ap update
LANDOVER, Md. (AP)—Defensive backs Corey Webster(notes) and Aaron Ross(notes) are inactive for the New York Giants against the Washington Redskins.
The Giants also are without starting right tackle Kareem McKenzie(notes), who has a left knee injury and is being replaced by Will Beatty on Monday night.
Webster has a left knee injury, and Ross has a left hamstring problem.
Defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth(notes) and cornerback DeAngelo Hall(notes) return to the Redskins. Haynesworth sat out three of Washington’s previous four games with a sprained left ankle, while Hall was sidelined for three games with a sprained right knee.
Redskins DT Cornelius Griffin(notes) is inactive (shoulder), replaced in the starting lineup by Kedric Golston(notes).
webster and ross
those are two huge losses. combined with philips, and we’re missing 3/4 of the starting defensive backfield from preseason. keys (as usual) will be the running game, notably how will beatty handles the game. with the skins missing haynesworth and our team missing all those dbs, its going to be imperative that we run the ball a lot (and well) to keep the redskins offense off the field (I don’t care how anemic the skins o has been this season— they’ve been playing better lately, and it’ll be interesting to see how they cover moss and cooley with such a depleted defensive backfield)
i'd be a lot more amped up for this game
had the Cowboys lost Saturday night in New Orleans.

This is it
I’ve remained optimistic and called out people who haven’t, but it comes down to this game now. Even I’m not hopeful if we lose this one. I don’t care if it’s 3-0 or 45-42 we have to pull this out to keep the hope.

the best thing is that kind of play calling will open up the passing game for deeper shots downfield to Nicks, Smith, and Mario.

ive always figured
that the reason we never seem to have a good kicker is no one in their right mind would want to kick 8 games in the swirling winds at giants stadium. if i were a kicker, i’d take half the money to kick in a dome. so much easier.

oops I crapped my pants!
It's kind of embarassing now
this is as bad as the Iggles and Cowgirls last year. Can we keep this intensity next week? We haven’t had two games in a row for quite awhile.

The other question
is whether the Redskins might possibly man up next week after this embarrassment.

Where's all the home team doubters?
Last week’s game reminded me a lot of the week 17 game against the Pats. We went toe to toe with the Eagles. Now we’re just dominating the Skins. We got these next 3 games and we’re going to the playoffs. I don’t care what anyone says! Lets tap into that 2007 magic!!!
Who was it that posted the Giants intro in the SB?
If the Giants watch that before every game, they’ll have it.
by YankeeDudeL on Dec 21, 2009 10:52 PM EST up reply actions
damn right
I gotta say I was a little disappointed in some fans saying the Giants shouldn’t even worry about making it to the playoffs because “they’ll just lose in the first round”. I’m a Giants fan living in Pittsburgh, so its sweet when we look so much better than these Pittsburgh bums!
Anyways, we should all know by now to never give up on our boys…especially after 2007.

fatso
that has to be one of my favorite marty hater lines. to suggest that a professional athlete at his caliber is overweight is ludicrous. but, if you want to suggest that the greatest goalie of all time has a weight problem, i’ll take it. results over size. look at ryan miller. he barely weighs 160 lbs., and he’s one of the best goalies in the nhl. i will take a good, fat goalie, over a mediocre in-shape one.
what about winning by 3?
