Thanks a lot, Saints!

Dallas 24, New Orleans 17. The Giants' path to the playoffs got a lot more difficult Saturday night. Looks like it's win out and hope for help from Washington or Philly.

Time for the G men to handle their business

Well their is no easy path into the playoffs now, they have to win every game to get in so we will see how bad they want it starting Monday night, lets go Giants!!

I'm so with you

it was painful watching that last night…reminded me of us against the Eagles, where everything just goes the other team’s way…you know the Saints are never out of it, but they just ran out of time. btw, how bad is Nick Folk? Can’t believe he even makes Tynes look good.

"it was painful watching that last night"

After the interception right before halftime, I couldn’t even stomach watching anymore and went to bed.
Atleast I didn’t have to wake up to the 10 inches of snow they were predicting, on top of this garbage!!! I would have spent the whole morning walking behind a snowblower, muttering bad things about Dallas and the stupid Saints.

Saints

THey are one and done in the playoffs. I think Dallas, GB and Philly are all better. Maybe they can beat Philly in a shootout.

After watching this game I’m even more convinced the Giants need to build back up their D and get back to running the ball. It takes time to do that but thats what wins. Saints have been very mediorce since the NE game.

by Landeta on Dec 20, 2009 8:53 AM EST reply actions

where

would be most beneficial to go in the draft to try and help this depense. and are there any good FA that could help on d?

by hockeylax220 on Dec 20, 2009 9:03 AM EST reply actions

Just as well

many of us were holding out hope for a playoff appearance. Last night was another dagger in a season full of daggers. While we still have a chance at the playoffs the bottom line is the Giants don’t really deserve to play in the dance.

by FrankB0318 on Dec 20, 2009 9:26 AM EST reply actions

ugh

This is bad, but at least Dallas vs Washington is never a gimme and Philly should be able to win too.

by Edgware on Dec 20, 2009 9:29 AM EST reply actions

That depends

Philly might not have anything to play for at that point, so Dallas could easily win out.

Philly has Dallas to play

Andy Reid hates Dallas just as much as we do, no way they let give them a free game.

philly should have plenty to play for

that game is very likely going to be for the division title, since dallas still controls its own destiny.

what’s even worse is that MIN may have a lot to play for now against the giants in week 17 — which is not good news for us.

by tulls200 on Dec 20, 2009 12:17 PM EST up reply actions

Yeah...

Although New Orleans last two games are vs Tampa Bay and @Carolina.

Minny has @Carolina, @Bears, vs Us.

I still think New Orleans will have the first seed, and go 15-1.
To minnesota, its much more important that Favre is fresh and healthy in the playoffs. That need would offset any chance for 1st seed imo.

A LIGHT AT THE END OF A TUNNEL

AHHH!!!! It turned out to be another train
Hopefully Dallas will return their December woes against 2 NFC East rivals
now to go dig out of the 19 inches of snow we got here yesterday in Southern MD
OH JOY!!!!!!!!!

Crap.

At least Dallas still only has 1 win in December…. Lets go Redskins! Hopefully @ Redskins is a let down for Dallas. Other wise we’ll all have to be Philly fans for a day.

Didn't surprise me at all..

I looked over the Saints past few games and saw this coming..The Cowboys did everything we should have done and that was keep Brees and their offense off the field..and blitz the heck out of him..and the secondary had to have their best performance..they did everything we didn’t do..another vote against Sheridan.

by Bobbiblue on Dec 20, 2009 10:35 AM EST reply actions

Agree Bobbi

I had a bad feeling about last nights game considering how the Saints have been playing.

The Saints remind me of us last year and the Pats the year before. Peaked in Novmeber and will struggle in the playoffs.

by Landeta on Dec 20, 2009 11:52 AM EST up reply actions

The Saints,

however, were much healthier on defense when we played them. I was hoping the Saints would win but didn’t expect it. The Cowboys, as I said before our game against them, are good across the line but they are suspect in the backfield and can be HAD. It seemed as if N.O. didn’t figure that out until the end of the third quarter.
Now we’ve got to hear everyone talking about the Cowboys and the Super Bowl….I can see the ESPN folks licking their chops right now….watch what I say…

We didn't even have a chance for the "perfect season", but we did have the perfect ending.

giants need to step up.

if the giants win out and make the playoffs they will have all the momentum, we know what happened the last time they went into the playoffs hot.

Dang

I watched the highligts

That one saint guy dropped a pretty easy TD. They would have been tied if they got that…

piece of jerk butt saints

at least i could switch off to the scarlet knights, who knew how to handle business.

Lets hope that when gut check time comes again the Mets will pass it with flying colors.

tynes

when they showed the top 5 most inaccurate kickers this year Tynes wasn’t on it

by feaglesmvp on Dec 20, 2009 12:13 PM EST reply actions

I know can you believe it?

He hasn’t missed a kick in a few weeks, so that’s good.

It shows that if we drop Tynes, we may end up with someone even worst (!)

Good days

when our only problem was Tynes missing a few FGs.

Yeah, we like NFL here in Brazil.

by GiantsBRFan on Dec 20, 2009 2:20 PM EST up reply actions

Tynes is not that bad...

never was.

He’s scotched up when he goes out there…so you can’t blame him for seeing moving goal posts.

I’ll take Tynes with the game on the line. Give or take a 0 degree kick in GB….he’s money in the clutch.

Just Say No

Giants defense last week was one of the worst OF ALL TIME. Odds that so many problems can be fixed in so little time? Realistically: none.

Unless Giants offense really dominates time of possession and scores on each, Gmen are done. Got to keep the defense off the field. When they’re on its an easier score than a free throw in BB ball.

I’ll be watching game, rooting for Big Blue, hoping for best, but I’m not going to fool myself either. Giant defense is now an oxymoron.

by Deal With It on Dec 20, 2009 8:03 PM EST reply actions

They HAD to lose this game outta all of them.

With that being said, I really doubt the Cowboys are that good.

Its OK...

they’ll lose to the Redskins and Eagles.

..now..what can the Giants do about its? Cuz they’re still 2 games behind.
