No bravado. No nonsense or predictions. The Giants need to win today. They know it. We know it. If you have game-day rituals you think bring the Giants luck (I know you do) then you better follow them today.
I will have my Giants Super Bowl shirt on. Jim, my man, you better have the wings going. Everybody else, do whatever you have to do.
Enjoy the game!

Today's inactives
From Pat Hanlon: Barden, Ross, GJohnson, Kehl, Koets, Tollefson, Whimper and Moss. The only one that mystifies me at this point is Kehl, who I would rather see on special teams than Wilkinson. The rest are no surprise, really.
What happened to Tollefson?
He get hurt last week in the 2nd half or something?
Understood
Why not Moss? I mean, he is doing NOTHING.
he's inactive

Damn my reading comprehension
I am just out of it today apparently… does that mean I qualify to play for the NYG defense?
from RV
Aaron Rouse will actually be starting at free safety in place of Michael Johnson today. Johnson moves to strong safety to replace C.C. Brown. And Brown, to the delight of many of you, heads to the bench.

I missed my Flames play the Rangers last night, and I have not seen the Drury hit. I know Ranger fans want his blood, but just how bad was it? Be as objective as you can.
WE ARE WINNING TODAY!!
We will find a way to get back on track this week. I expect the G-Men to rise to the challenge and perform the way we know they’re capable of. I’m rooting for Gilbride and Sheridan to come out with a good plan to put us in a position to succeed. We’ll get it done this week.
Get er done.
I want Rivers to have a nice helping of turf today. I want picnic tables in the backfield. I want Jacobs with lightening bolt’s imprinted on his jersey cuz he’s running over people.
Giants need to come out and play GIants football. RUn, Run RUn. Jacobs, Ware, AB.
Lets get some slants in there too.
If they go deep, it better work, cuz I’m gonna be pissed if they go deep on a 3rd and short and miss again….
DO WHAT JERRY HAIRSTON DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a bad feeling about this game
which is probably a good thing, b/c I was pretty confident the past 3 weeks. Big game. Go GMen

I've gotta say
I’m really impressed by the Bengals. They are kicking the crap out of the Ravens. It’s only 17-7, but they scored on their opening 3 drives and have pretty much spent the rest of the game shutting the Ravens down.

Just win
Regular season games don’t get much bigger than this. Lay it all on the line today Big Blue.
Wow the Bucs are winning
GB could be a scary team… once they get the 3-4 down pat at any rate.
FOX just switched to that game, hopefully I can catch the end before the gmen are on. Buccs ball at 2 minute warning
I have Detroit FOX here in Ottawa
so I am seeing Seahawks vs Lions.
So I am counting down the Dolphins loss while I wait for the Giants game to start.
and the Panthers up early on the Saints
How long does that lead last? Over under of 5 minutes? Too high?
holy crap
1 offensive play for DeAngelo Williams and he already gave me 12 fantasy points. Sweet

Panthers ball again
Not sure what they are doing with it… just noticed they had possession on the ticker.
Carolina's doing what the Giants should have done....
run the damn ball….
DO WHAT JERRY HAIRSTON DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
damnit
No giants coverage yet. Got to see Houston’s missed FG and now Miami trying to come back vs. Patriots.
still nothing
I can’t believe they stayed with 2nd bonus game MIA vs. NE game even though it was 10 points and less than a minute.

I watched a lot of Miami vs NE
and there were some monstrous hits. I would love to see the GMen start hitting like that again. I can’t remember the last huge hit they laid out.

Another 5 on the ground
Might this actually be a running attack? GASP!
Broncos fan here
go Giants. Paste those losers all day!!! I hope Jacobs shows LDT what it’s like to actually be a legit running back. Oh, and Eli will prove that he’s much better than Phyllis Rivers as well!

I’d be lying if I told you I wasn’t a closet Giants fan a little myself. Mostly because I love seeing the Cowards fail (even if NYG doesn’t fail them, the ’girls usually find a way to do it themselves). Oh yeah, and I hate the Eagles and their stupid fans too. Who cares about the Skins, they are more dysfunctional than an incest looped family in the deep south.

All the Chargers need to do
is score with a huge gain play here… Giants will have “Vietnam” like flashbacks to the previous three weeks, and just fold. WATCH!
Feebles need to retire
cannot catch a ball, cannot punt
I need to come back to the FG call
can someone please explain how it gives a team confidence to drive all the way down the field, into enemy territroy, only to be told that
A) You don’t think you can pick up a yard
B) You don’t think the D can hold up if you don’t get it
To me NOT going for it on 4th and 1, when statistically teams make it 67% of the time, shakes your team’s confidence.

This is sad...
This defense, no matter what the offense does or does not do, guarantees the giants do not make the playoffs. This D is beyond being fixed this season. It is slow. Badly coached. And lacking in talent in key positions. Sad.

The Tackles and pulling guards are not controlling the lines this year
It's not the play calling folks --
It’ the players. The execution. They ARE not very good. No coordinator could make much with how this group executes. The Giants have the ball forever, but shoot themselves in the foot … sad.

You don’t run Jacobs to the outside and Bradshaw up the middle.

Eli is hot and cold, always was, always will be.
We know what he can do, the WR’s we didn’t. They are the bright spot.
since none of us
have access to the giants film review sessions after games, we can’t really assume that’s the case. it could very well be that eli is always hot, and his receivers are making mistakes that lead to INTs. eli just isn’t the type to throw his teammates under the bus when they do screw up.

I have 4 really good receivers though
and Welker and Driver both had really good games. Now I just need Marques Colston to wake up

I remember that Jets game
one of the earliest games I vividly remember, other than the Super Bowl

can someone explain
why kehl and goff aren’t starting linebackers yet?
cuz they aren't good enough....
ST play..doesn’t = knowing the defense.
DO WHAT JERRY HAIRSTON DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is the kind of drive that could wake us up
D has had plenty of time to get settled, time to go out and hit somebody. Preferably before they are 20 yards downfield.

true
but you can’t keep falling behind my multiple touchdowns to bad teams and expect to convince me that you’re one of the best teams ever

Ball control will do that
10+ minute drive w/o any stoppages for commercials. Me likes…

They are not playing well. They're playing a middling team much like themselves.
And instead of taking momentum, they — like in previous weeks — give up a big play. The D is the achilles heel.
division contender...doesn't matter
they can go if they get in.
DO WHAT JERRY HAIRSTON DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Delay of game and false start calls...
…are inexcusable.

I said it wasn't the coordinators, but --
— Sheridan is in over his head, unprepared, doesn’t know what’s been hitting him
No points either.
Way to come up huge guys!!!!! NOW RUN IT WITH JACOBS AND ONLY THROW IF IT’S THERE!!!!!!!
OK, please let's not turn the ball over in the last minute of the half
I’d rather they take a knee…

Looks like vanilla calls
I think I am fine with that to be honest. COnsidering how the Saints and Eagles have been killing the Giants late in the half (or Giants killing themselves).
why are we doing this?
haven’t we seen how this ends?

Take a knee now!
No chance at getting points now before the half

I wouldn't be so sure, he does not know he has Tuck, Kiwi and Osi
He thinks Tuck is a cover guy
ARE YOU SERIOUS???????
ANOTHER INSIDE RUN WITH BRADSHAW. PUT JACOBS IN DUMBASSES!!!!!!!
Bradshaw...Jacobs...
and inside run does nothing at this point.
DO WHAT JERRY HAIRSTON DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am beginning to wonder if Feagles know how to punt the ball in bounds anymore...
