Giants (6-4) at Broncos (6-4): Open Thread

New York Giants at Denver Broncos, Nov 26, 2009 8:20 PM EST

NEW YORK GIANTS (6-4) Game #11
DENVER BRONCOS (6-4)
Giants_icon_medium
vs. Broncos_icon_medium

Date: Nov. 26, 2009
Location: Denver, Co.
Time: 8:20 p.m. EST Stadium: Invesco Field
TV: NFL Network
Radio: WFAN (660-AM)
By The Numbers: The Giants are 7-6-1 playing on Thanksgiving Day. The last time they played on Thanksgiving was 1992, when they suffered a 30-3 loss to Dallas ... Telling defensive numbers: The Giants are 2nd in the league in yards allowed, but tied for 23rd in points allowed and last in Red Zone defense.

Happy Thanksgiving night, everyone. Let's hope the Giants don't upset our full bellies and give us indigestion tonight. If you don't have NFL Network, hopefully you will be able to find a place to watch the game. I will have the very unique experience of watching the game on my Palm Pre, which will be cool except for the two-inch screen.

Use this as your Open Thread to discuss the action. Enjoy!

you too

I’ve got no hate for the Broncos, but you’re going down tonight (I hope…)

Same here. I don't hate the giants either, but both teams definitely need a win tonight. It's going to be a war.

Enjoy the stream (or NFLN if you have it).

If Taylor Swift were to try and tackle me, I'd let her.

my hope

is that the Giants win tonight, but then the Chargers finish this year like the Broncos finished last year and you overtake them at the end. I hate the Chargers for some weird reason.

haha, You and me both. LOL. I knew it wasn't just broncos fans who hate the Chargers.

I think everyone can agree to dislike the chargers. They are just a bunch of punks.

I’d love nothing more than for them to lose every game in december. Trust me, if you could guarantee the chargers losing this game, I would gladly give you this victory.

Have a happy turkey day, guys and gals.

If Taylor Swift were to try and tackle me, I'd let her.

Happy Turkeyday everyone.

Let’s hope that the Gmen end this night on a high note for us. We can’t afford to lose with both the Pack and the Girls winning. Win tonight sets up a huge showdown next week as we all know. Let’s all cross our fingers and pray to the football gods for a Giant win!!

to an extent

Like their old stuff up to the black album, then it kind of went downhill. The name was really catchy and the song is awesome, thats why i went with it.

Im not a Giants fan though. Colts fan. Happy Thanksgiving to all you guys BTW

Let's go GMEN

best thing about coming to my parents place for Thanksgiving is I get to watch this game on regular tv. I love New York

that's a tough one

if they’re both fully healthy, I’d say Bradshaw. But at partial strength, definitely Pierce – most of what he brings to the table at this point is his brains, whereas Bradshaw relies so much on his quickness. He’s just been awful lately.

I love living in Canada

This blackout stuff applies to nothing but I get every single game each week thanks to getting all the networks across the country. I still can not fathom now the NFL (most popular sport down there) can not be available for every single game.

random rant

my parents have an awesome 36 inch HD TV (at least it’s awesome to a poor student like me who normally watches tv on my ghetto set that’s from like 1995), but they don’t subscribe to the HD channels! What’s the point!?!? Everything looks so fuzzy.

Time to impose our will on them and wear that ass out!!

by lboogie25 on Nov 26, 2009 9:11 PM EST reply actions

well

if our offense doesnt start moving the ball, then we will be in for a long game come 4th quarter

by wangstu13 on Nov 26, 2009 9:11 PM EST reply actions

if they are only getting 3 points per drive, I'll take it. Eli needs

to get this offense going and stop playing around. Make some real throws so we can open up the run game.

by ThomasL on Nov 26, 2009 9:12 PM EST reply actions

We need a good runback...

if they keep kicking it into the endzone they take Hixon out of the game….we need his explosiveness.

by sexyscottish on Nov 26, 2009 9:12 PM EST reply actions

In Osi's defense

He’s playing against the best left tackle in the NFL.. I wish the Giants Would rotate the ends more, it might be more effective getting Osi Matched up against someone other than Clady.

Since When is Tim Lewis back though?

and he's still not all the way back from the knee injury, but there should be more of a rotation especially when you see how they're attacking you by running the SAME PLAY 4 times in one drive. That's embarassing.

in that thin Denver air

even Tynes could maybe get a touchback

Tonight, this is all on the players… no coaching crap. These guys have GOT TO MAN THE F’ UP at some point. O-line, D-line.. everybody. Decide if you are Men and if you’re going to let yourselves get slapped around and laughed at.

there is ZERO push by the o-line on running plays.

Fumble my god

what has happend to this team.

You saw this coming when the NFL sceduled this game. Giants on Thanksgiving night in Denver no chance.

No effort or heart, they can’t tackle or block it’s amazing how far this team has sunk

by Landeta on Nov 26, 2009 9:22 PM EST reply actions

don’t blame the scheduling.. it’s these guys.

by Moshe52792 on Nov 26, 2009 9:22 PM EST reply actions

Except for the fact that the Giants can’t cover, can’t tackle, can’t rush the passer, can’t run the ball, can’t block or complete a pass, I would say this is going rather well
