Should we be resting Bradshaw?
For the first part of the season Ahmad Bradshaw was blowing up defences and Jacobs was starting slow, but now Jacobs has improved and Bradshaw's production is dropping. It seems that Bradshaw's injured foot/ankle is hindering his performance and he might need a rest for a while. At the very least we should start to limit his carries a bit. Jacobs is playing well and is getting fewer carries, which I think we can all agree needs to change. My question for you guys though is: Should we be resting Bradshaw when his productivity isn't at the level we had come to expect?
For the season, Jacobs has 617 yard from 151 carries, an average of 4.1 yard per carry. Bradshaw has 515 yard from 103 carries, an average of 5 yards per carry. While Bradshaw's average is still higher than Brandon's, he has really started declining in the past few weeks. Is this because of his injury or because the opponents have figured him out now and know how to stop him? I think it is his injury that is hurting his ability more than anything else. Other teams may have figured out some ways to combat his running prowess, but that is not what I see. I see a running back who isnt running into tacklers as hard or with as much determination as before. Ahmad used to be dodging and stepping people and taking the big hits if it would get him that little bit further, but now he seems more timid and more reluctant to take the ball and run hard. It really make me feel that if we rested him or just gave Jacobs more plays that we would do better and he would be healthier WHEN we make it to the Playoffs.

Bradshaw
Bradshaw is the back up to Jacobs and the bad thing is because he got hot and jacobs what you call got cold Bradshaw got hurt, if the giants would stick to the game play Run Jacobs then Bradshaw to set up the pass the Giants will stay loosing, But Running Jacobs more Bradshaw will get the rest needed and if Danny Ware can step up things will be ok

I think for the time being
they should use Danny Ware as the primary backup.
Hopefully the bye week helps Ware get back up to speed after his injury.
But yea, AB really isn’t helping like he should.

I think the problem is
that maybe ware isn’t as good of a blocker as Bradshaw?
I know we all kill him for that one play vs the saints, but overall he’s been pretty good at blocking. And ware’s only in his second year, so maybe they want to ease him in?

On 3rd down, throw it to Smith.

I dont know
the extent of the injury but it seems to me that rest will wont help it that much. He is going to have to play through a considerable amount of pain and wil be really truley fixed with surgery in the offseason…
I think Ware will help out and give much needed change of style…

maybe not just completely sitting him out
cuz it seems he can still be effective.
But just give Danny Ware some more carries.

work in ware a bit
and if he proves himself a capable runner, use him to lighten AB’s load. You can’t hold AB back for the playoffs, which may not come. He’s a good & important weapon, but there is some merit to lightening the load of an injured guy. Shoot give gartrell 2 carries a week!
You play to win the game!
