Lets go Blue!
As inconsitant as Manningham has been it hurts he’s not playing. I just don’t think Hixon can make plays against these corners, he lacks the quickness, agility, and elusivness that Mario has. And he’ll probabbly get most of the snaps today instead of Nicks.
by Landeta on Nov 1, 2009 12:06 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
One more thing
the Giants better not take Hixon off of the return teams because he’s starting this week. That just seems like something they would do.

Alright Giants!
Key, key game here. 3 game losing streaks aren’t the death of a season, but it’s better not to have them!

I really hope that Boss finds his way in the game today...
maybe not a 8 catch 100yd 2TD breakout thing we all know he could do. I’d like to see him in the end zone a few times tho, and at least make about 4 catches.
As a side note….been a while since I’ve been really into a Giants game. AZ last week a little bit, but the Yanks were more of a priority.
Before that, was the Dallas game that really seemed like a good fight by the Gints.
Lets do this today.

I dont care if we only score 3 points today
As long as the Eagles don’t score at all.

A win is a win
But I’d like to put away the whole “Giants are overrated talk” too. Having a 3-0 win won’t really help with that.

While I don’t believe TC should be fired. he needs to be held accountable for his continued support of Gilbride as the O coordinator. His play calling is an absolute disgrace. In 8 games I can only recall one pass on first down when the Giants reach the red zone. It’s always the same. A running play to Jacobs. The under-utilization of Boss is a joke. It seems when Boss makes a catch it’s a big play.
Sheridan has been badly out-coached the last 3 weeks. A huge mistake by TC not aggressively pursuing Dom Capers.

Injuries aren’t an excuse. Each and every team has injuries. These are supposed to be NFL players. AP was terrible last year. He’s old and slow. The Giants D tackles get pushed around. They are not getting the penetration they got in the SB.

why did they have to mention Brett Farve?
I hate Farve, but more than that, I hate the media that can’t stop talking about him. All week long they were calling Vikings-Packers the game of the year. Fox: NO ONE CARES ABOUT THIS GAME. The only way I’d watch is if you guarantee that Farve breaks both legs and they have non-stop coverage of media-types crying about it.

This is just like 2007. Manning struggled all year long because we went down the field with 15-20 yard passes. We won the whole thing because we went to the short passing game. We’re getting away from that again this year and it’s killing us.

maybe eli isn’t a downfield QB like rivers. he might need to rely on the short game to be successful. i don’t care what he is as long as we win games and champioships. a lot of reevaluating needs to be done with this team

I’m all for whatever works. I could care less if E is a stat stud, as long as he wins. With his foot hurting him, these throws are high because he cant drive off his foot. He’s over compensating and they continue pounding the square peg in the round hole.

This game is probably over
since this coaching staff just flat out refuses to make adjustments

I went out and it was 7-16 after the two minute warning
Now its 7-30 at the half. Where’s our “resiliency” we had just 2 seasons ago?

Let´s hope the Lions win today
So Spags will be fired and he can get his job back at the Giants.
Yeah, we like NFL here in Brazil.

spags can't make guys cover,
tackle or get healthy.
In other words…it would be the same result.

I know this is gonna sound bad, but it’s time to throw in the towel for this game. I think TC needs to send a message and bench all these so called starters.

its not the starters, its da D cordinator. the starters were very close nit with spagz, and created a bond. they dont care if they let sheridan down. they care if they let spagz down.

if the starters don't care
then I’d say that’s on them, not Sheridan

My question has changed from
Are they as good as we think to are they as bad as they look?
Also, I’ve gotta believe Eli’s foot explains at least some of his poor throws.

Maybe they're not as good as we thought...
but they’re also not as bad as they look.

both
when a team is on a roll, they’re almost never as good as they look. and of course, when things are going like they are now, we’re not as bad as we look (i hope).
in my opinion, ditto for championship teams — while it’s the ultimate accomplishment to win a SB, it simply means you won 3 or 4 tough games, and nothing else. the teams that win the SB are ALWAYS remembered for being wayyy better than they really were (see: ’07 giants).

Jackson TD
Just rewatched the Jackson TD. Wondering why there was no pressure? Sheridan has both Osi and Tuck drop back into pass protection?!? Checki it out.
What waste,,,way do we do this stupid stuff. Outplayed and out coached.

I hope not
Both the Raiders and the Titans (of all teams) are playing like they don’t care. I can’t believe a Big Blue team could get like that.

hey guys… i’m not over here to talk trash… just letting you know that in the NFL its never as good as it seems and its never as bad as it seems.
that said… that was a good half for us… but i remember week 2 2006

Yea, shit looks terrible right now, the only thing I can take solace in is the fact your play in week 8 rarely matches your play in week 17

CC Brown
worst player in the league or worst player in the league?
by clydeftones on Nov 1, 2009 2:42 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
worst player ever.
he just gives the opposition TD’s, seemingly at will.
