Lets go Blue!

As inconsitant as Manningham has been it hurts he’s not playing. I just don’t think Hixon can make plays against these corners, he lacks the quickness, agility, and elusivness that Mario has. And he’ll probabbly get most of the snaps today instead of Nicks.

by Landeta on Nov 1, 2009 12:06 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

One more thing

the Giants better not take Hixon off of the return teams because he’s starting this week. That just seems like something they would do.

by Landeta on Nov 1, 2009 12:08 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Alright Giants!

Key, key game here. 3 game losing streaks aren’t the death of a season, but it’s better not to have them!

I really hope that Boss finds his way in the game today...

maybe not a 8 catch 100yd 2TD breakout thing we all know he could do. I’d like to see him in the end zone a few times tho, and at least make about 4 catches.

As a side note….been a while since I’ve been really into a Giants game. AZ last week a little bit, but the Yanks were more of a priority.

Before that, was the Dallas game that really seemed like a good fight by the Gints.

Lets do this today.

DO WHAT JERRY HAIRSTON DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or, with Ham out...

Perhaps more Beckum? Though Boss sighting’s would be welcomed!

I like both.

Maybe even a Darcey Johnson sighting?

I dont care if we only score 3 points today

As long as the Eagles don’t score at all.

by wangstu13 on Nov 1, 2009 12:40 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

A win is a win

But I’d like to put away the whole “Giants are overrated talk” too. Having a 3-0 win won’t really help with that.

While I don’t believe TC should be fired. he needs to be held accountable for his continued support of Gilbride as the O coordinator. His play calling is an absolute disgrace. In 8 games I can only recall one pass on first down when the Giants reach the red zone. It’s always the same. A running play to Jacobs. The under-utilization of Boss is a joke. It seems when Boss makes a catch it’s a big play.

Sheridan has been badly out-coached the last 3 weeks. A huge mistake by TC not aggressively pursuing Dom Capers.

No.

Webster is excellent.

The team is really missing Boley right now, he’s be blanketing Celek on that play.

CC Brown sucks in coverage, Michael Johnson has to cover too much of the field cuz of it, but he doesn’t suck.

Injuries aren’t an excuse. Each and every team has injuries. These are supposed to be NFL players. AP was terrible last year. He’s old and slow. The Giants D tackles get pushed around. They are not getting the penetration they got in the SB.

He plays with no discipline. No containment. He only plays for the sack. He’s no match for the better left tackles. The rest of his game is average at best.

I hate Farve, but more than that, I hate the media that can’t stop talking about him. All week long they were calling Vikings-Packers the game of the year. Fox: NO ONE CARES ABOUT THIS GAME. The only way I’d watch is if you guarantee that Farve breaks both legs and they have non-stop coverage of media-types crying about it.

*Gilbride and Eli have tunnel vision

by Jonathan. on Nov 1, 2009 1:56 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Umm, I don't think that's the play calling

Gilbride doesn’t just pick the pattern that one receiver is going to run and tell Eli to throw to him. There were other guys on the field, yes? But Eli didn’t look at any of them, went right to Smith.

by JoshNY on Nov 1, 2009 1:55 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Eli must be hurt.

His longer range throwing is off the mark. waaaaaaaay off.

So he can only do short toss now.

Sorry, that was a bit too harsh.

I don’t want anyone getting physically hurt over this.
BUT JESUS, REALLY?

Guys

We are playing with 2nd string players and it shows…almost 10 2nd stringers man…until we are healthy, get use to this kind of BS

The Eagles are making this look way too easy.

GO NY GIANTS!!

by RDomaine on Nov 1, 2009 2:27 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

its not pride

they are being playing 1st stringer…its all about the talent on the field man

GO NY GIANTS!!

no, its still pride

they are being ran over like a high school jv team in every aspect of the game and are showing no fight

I’d bench Manning for the second half

by Lucky7 on Nov 1, 2009 2:30 PM EST via mobile reply actions   0 recs

clearly they watched the tape

Attack the Giants on the edges on strong side. It’s working.

by DoctorK16 on Nov 1, 2009 2:31 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

is anyone on the practice squad worse than cc brown?

can they get someone—anyone— to understand how to play rover positions?

by scotty2129 on Nov 1, 2009 2:30 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

This is just like 2007. Manning struggled all year long because we went down the field with 15-20 yard passes. We won the whole thing because we went to the short passing game. We’re getting away from that again this year and it’s killing us.

by lboogie25 on Nov 1, 2009 2:30 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

3 weeks in a row same thing, same result

apparently we don’t learn a thing watching tape

DO WHAT JERRY HAIRSTON DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by FreeBradshaw on Nov 1, 2009 2:36 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

you might be right

maybe eli isn’t a downfield QB like rivers. he might need to rely on the short game to be successful. i don’t care what he is as long as we win games and champioships. a lot of reevaluating needs to be done with this team

by Jankees on Nov 1, 2009 2:33 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I’m all for whatever works. I could care less if E is a stat stud, as long as he wins. With his foot hurting him, these throws are high because he cant drive off his foot. He’s over compensating and they continue pounding the square peg in the round hole.

by lboogie25 on Nov 1, 2009 2:35 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

except in 07

by GiantRB27 on Nov 1, 2009 2:31 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Embarrassing

What a joke. I had so much hope that this would be the year that Eli would vault into the top tier of NFL QBs. Instead, he’s done the complete opposite.

by Jankees on Nov 1, 2009 2:31 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

This is like the Saints game

just starting to get a little bit of momentum before half, and then it all goes to shit in less than a minute. Unreal.

"[The Giants] beat us down. We were beat by a grown-man team, a team we want to be like one day. They came in here and took it to us. Out-manned us, out-gunned us. ... It wasn't even close." - Raheem Morris, 9/27/09

by cjmulrain on Nov 1, 2009 2:31 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Why did we get Aaron Rouse

if we’re just gonna keep letting people run past CC Brown!

by Frigidevil on Nov 1, 2009 2:31 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

How insulting.. the eagles call timeout with 11 seconds left. They are continuing to call the Giants out and we’re not responding.

Eagles have been prone to 2nd half comebacks.

Can the Giants get a few breaks to make it happen?

by FreeBradshaw on Nov 1, 2009 2:33 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Forget it.

We looked pathetic thus far.

There is no reason for a come back in 2nd half.

Now its 7-30 at the half. Where’s our “resiliency” we had just 2 seasons ago?

I know this is gonna sound bad, but it’s time to throw in the towel for this game. I think TC needs to send a message and bench all these so called starters.

nah

he’s winning today! granted it’s vs. Detroit…

by M. on Nov 1, 2009 2:41 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

its not the starters, its da D cordinator. the starters were very close nit with spagz, and created a bond. they dont care if they let sheridan down. they care if they let spagz down.

by old man strahan on Nov 1, 2009 2:38 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

if the starters don't care

then I’d say that’s on them, not Sheridan

by JoshNY on Nov 1, 2009 2:42 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

of course

I’d also say “the players don’t care” is a lazy excuse for just getting outplayed

by JoshNY on Nov 1, 2009 2:45 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

My question has changed from

Are they as good as we think to are they as bad as they look?
Also, I’ve gotta believe Eli’s foot explains at least some of his poor throws.

by blue gonz on Nov 1, 2009 2:38 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Maybe they're not as good as we thought...

but they’re also not as bad as they look.

DO WHAT JERRY HAIRSTON DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by FreeBradshaw on Nov 1, 2009 2:38 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

both

when a team is on a roll, they’re almost never as good as they look. and of course, when things are going like they are now, we’re not as bad as we look (i hope).

in my opinion, ditto for championship teams — while it’s the ultimate accomplishment to win a SB, it simply means you won 3 or 4 tough games, and nothing else. the teams that win the SB are ALWAYS remembered for being wayyy better than they really were (see: ’07 giants).

Jackson TD

Just rewatched the Jackson TD. Wondering why there was no pressure? Sheridan has both Osi and Tuck drop back into pass protection?!? Checki it out.
What waste,,,way do we do this stupid stuff. Outplayed and out coached.

by marcvo17 on Nov 1, 2009 2:39 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

I hope not

Both the Raiders and the Titans (of all teams) are playing like they don’t care. I can’t believe a Big Blue team could get like that.

by blue gonz on Nov 1, 2009 2:40 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

hey guys… i’m not over here to talk trash… just letting you know that in the NFL its never as good as it seems and its never as bad as it seems.

that said… that was a good half for us… but i remember week 2 2006

Brent Celek is the man

Yea, shit looks terrible right now, the only thing I can take solace in is the fact your play in week 8 rarely matches your play in week 17

worst player in the league or worst player in the league?

worst player ever.

he just gives the opposition TD’s, seemingly at will.
