"We’ll have to see tomorrow. I think it’s just a bruised heel," Manning said afterward, adding later that it wasn't an Achilles' tendon injury. "I don’t know exactly what it is. We’ll find out more tomorrow. Obviously, I can walk around, I can move around, but there is some discomfort. ...
"I don’t think it’s awful. I’ve been injured worse before. We’ll see how it feels throughout the week."

Eli's a tough bastard....
I’m pretty sure I heard that if the time after he came out was actually meaningful, he would have played the next series.
I got real scared as Im sure every Gints fan did when seeing him limp around, but I think he’ll be fine. I know he always is understated in the interviews too, but I doubt its much to be worried about.
I’m just wondering how the hell it happened?

just
took a funny step in the pocket. Came down on it wrong. I think & hope it’ll be very minor. Ppl may not like the contract, but this’ll show you, Eli IS the most important player for the Giants’ success
You play to win the game!

Eli's a soldier.
He’ll play through, not worried in the least.

the crazy thing
is how good of a pass he delivered while falling down with a foot injury – he almost completed a deep pass to Smith. If he led him an extra foot, that could have been a TD.
If anyone still doubts Eli, they are just ignorantly ignoring facts. He’s one of the 5 best QB’s in the league right now.
"[The Giants] beat us down. We were beat by a grown-man team, a team we want to be like one day. They came in here and took it to us. Out-manned us, out-gunned us. ... It wasn't even close." - Raheem Morris, 9/27/09
Too bad he's a trouble maker.
Did you see what he did to Jerry’swonderful new locker room?
For shame Eli…

T's hard to argue the contrary based on the
season he’s enjoying. That throw was something, one foot in the air, all arm and still almost a completion.
chris mortensen . . .
is reporting that eli will need shoulder surgery to repair the heel, and will miss the rest of the season.
LOL!
I’ll never forget that horseshit he reported that week. Winds up not even missing a down.

does anyone know
if Flo-Zell got in any leg whips this week?

Play Carr
I hope this doesn’t sound too crazy. But the Raiders are just so god awful and the Giants will be at home that I think David Carr should start. I would probably say that even if Manning didn’t get injured. Carr could use the extra experience with the first team and the Giants defense will score points than the Raiders anyway. The Giants would probably win without a real QB taking one snap.
nah....
we’re talking about Eli Manning here.
Doesn’t matter if they were playing a high school team, he’s gonna play.
