NY Giants' cornerback Aaron Ross working to maintain desire to play football as injuries take toll
Aaron Ross talks about staying out of his mental rut. I understand people have issues with depression... but it just does not bode well that the Giants' coaches have to keep a tab on Ross 'falling out of love with football' and that Ross has to convince himself, the media, and the fans that he still cares and won't become apathetic about playing at any point.

I wouldn't necessarily call it depression
Maybe football just really isn’t his thing. However, that’s not what he’s telling us right now. Let’s hope for the future!

Tiki Barber anyone?

I guess we'll see...

Sorry, I didn't mean that as abrasively as it sounded
I just mean that Tiki was more of a “screw you guys, my heart’s not in it” type of guy, whereas Ross seems to have some legitimate psychological issues (I’m not counting Tiki’s narcissism as a psychological issue) that he needs to work out, be it depression, or whatever else.

Completely agree.
The only similarity I was pointing out was the “falling out of love with football” portion, just reminded me of the Barber episode.
