BBV pool Week 7 prelim. results
Finally, a game in which the officiating did not directly cost the Giants any points! But like myself, I'm sure meigs1414 and G-Brit, whom like me brilliantly picked the Vikings, watched the refs steal 7 from the Vikings near the end and subsequently watched the whole Farving game fall to pieces. We were right, dammit!

I agree
morally we deserve the Vikes win!
I think 5GRCL is still upset at your tirade when he picked the Raiders to beat the Giants!
Can I suggest we give Woogie526 an 6-6 result plus a pick for tonight just to keep him in the game

I agree
on all counts! btw he picked the Giants but said he “hoped the Raiders destroy them” and I did explain I didn’t mean to sound peeved, I was just surprised…
I also agree on Woogie, he’s always around, we ought to give him a tie for the worst record (6-6) to keep him in the middle of things. Let me hear some second the motions and hear hears and we’ll get the Woogenator up to 62 and back in the pack (albeit near the bottom of the pack.)
You play to win the game!

I'll second that.

I agree with this
"[The Giants] beat us down. We were beat by a grown-man team, a team we want to be like one day. They came in here and took it to us. Out-manned us, out-gunned us. ... It wasn't even close." - Raheem Morris, 9/27/09

Cool
I have finally climbed into the bye position (been chasing 4th for a couple weeks).

I should have a perfect week going on
What the hell is up with the Panthers and Falcons? And the Gmen……Don’t be surprised to see me pick the Birds next week. We aren’t what we thought we were. With all the injuries and lack of execution, were a slightly above average football team. With each passing week, I’m starting to believe the Saints will rep the NFC in the Superbowl.

Booo, and Panthers
1. It’s early man! For all you know Drew Brees could slip on a Banana peel tomorrow.
2. Panthers: It’s been my struggle all year to remove last year from my memory. I have been trying to judge teams based on this year’s performance. But so many teams like the Titans, the Panthers, you remember last year and you say, “They’re a good team, just having a hard time breaking through…” but they’re NOT! The Panthers are BAD. The Titans are BAD. The Dolphins and Ravens aren’t very good. The Chargers aren’t very good, and the NFC East is not dominant, and it’s not 2008. I’m saying this to try to get it through my own thick skull.
You play to win the game!

Same here
Can’t compare 2008 with this year, it’s a totally different animal. If someone were to tell you that Steve Smith would be a top receiver in catches and yards, you’d think they were talking about the Panthers’ SS. Carolina is 100% garbage?? The Bengals are the real deal?? The Saints are the Patriots 2007. The Wildcat is for real (only for the Dolphins). The Titans are this years Lions. Wow, this season has been a hard one for me to predict.

I believed in the Bengals
The rest, pure astonishment

Looking forward to the Linc
These losses have suddenly made this an incredibly competitive and important game! I’ll be rooting for the Skins tonight but I fully expect next week’s game to be for the division lead. Not to mention if the Cowgirls can go beat the Seabirds, we could be in 3rd if we lose! wow! Come on now G-Men!

Sad to say
but I have already accepted we will be in 3rd place pending a visit by the Chargers!
Does anyone know if the Chargers like to pass the ball and do they have anyone that can roam the middle of the field and make our safeties look stupid?

You mean like Antonio Gates?
What about Sproles? Who makes any LB look stupid, much less AP possibly.
Or VIncent Jackson (aka Plax minus the ignorance). Or the fact that Rivers loves picking on safeties like CC Brown.
Yea, that’s gonna be a tough game too…I don’t think any of the remaining ones are gonna be easy.

I agree

Anything to keep me in the hunt is fine.
I probably won’t win, but just made a bone headed blunder by not posting picks.
