Afternoon Game Open Thread
Since we have to wait until this evening to watch our New York Giants (I really don't mind waiting for Faith Hill) here is an Open Thread you can use to chat about the afternoon games.

So now what?
8 more hours until the real game starts. How to spend the time? Well, at least i’ll be getting the Vikings and Steelers game at 1!
It almost feels like a bye week.

The Pittsburgh playcalling is killing me
seriously, is Andy Reid calling their plays by phone? Mendenhall is picking up 6 YPC, and he has carried exactly 7 times, while they have run 4 end arounds.

Steeler/Vikings Game Officiating
I was really upset about the poor officiating in the Giants/Saints game but now it looks like a trend. Did any of you watch the Steelers/Vikings game? These refs have no shame anymore man. So many blatantly wrong calls that ruin great games. the NFL really needs to look into dirty refs this year. I mean the calls, just like in the Giants game, weren’t even close.
GO NY GIANTS!!

I don't know about dirty refs,
but that tripping that negated a TD was BS
A thousand lips. A thousand tongues. A thousand throats. A thousand lungs. A thousand ways to make it true. I want to do terrible things to you.

Full Time Refs
The NFL needs to hire full time refs. They need to get rid of these 50 and 60 year old men. The players are too big and too fast. The NFL is a multiple billion dollar business for the game to be so poorly officiated in inexcusable. One’s got to wonder WTF the refs see at times.
I’m so sick and tired of listening Mike Pereira say the refs get 98% of the calls correct. Yeah but in the other 2% there’s some glaring bad calls.

I am on the road working
in Puerto Vallarta, I had to adjust myself to central time, since Friday, but today the clock had to be adjusted because here in Mexico daylight time savings is in effect today, so I’ve been wondering what time the game will be on with all the clocks changes for me. I had to go to the Giants web page to see how many hours for the game. In the meantime, I started to watch the cowgirls-falcons game, dallas is down by 7 and romo may be out after a hit on his helment. good times for now

Hey boys
I was at a family outing just got back watched Pitt win which is good. I sold my Giants tix tonight (to G-man fans of course) I hate night games and with the Yanks it looks like a good move at this point. Atlanta has a nice 7-0 lead after one both D’s are setteling in. Miami 7-3 over NO. Ball control is the key to beating the Saints and we all knowPeyton won’t come up with 2 great game plans two weeks in a row, he never did it with the G-Men. I’m a little drunk and amped up for tonight so I’m all over the place right now.

all right, you got everything covered
just updating the cowgirsl are close to tie and miami is now up 14-3

I had a wierd feeling
I know the Saints killed us and have looked good all year but pressure and ball control is the way to beat them and Miami can at least control the clock with the run. The Saints are like an NBA team that relies on 3 pointers. When their on they kill whoever they play but if they are off they struggle and it’s hard to play that way week in week out. Two things I thought the G-Men could do but failed miserably last week. Also Peyton is overrated as an Ofensive coach, his teams stuggled consistantly in NY and DAL. Drew Brees makes that team go.

Miami game is making me sick
WOW see what happens when a team puts some pressure on the QB?
by FrankB0318 on Oct 25, 2009 5:05 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Miami?
I had the feeling with the wildcat and the fact they run about 80% of the time that they’d be successful, but damn on defense too?
Really angers me even more about the gameplan last week. The Dolphins are doing Giants football right now, pressure the QB and run, run RUN!
And they seem to have Brees flustered away from Home too.

Tottally agree FreeBrad!
I loved Miami this week ball control, ball control. Also NO and Peyton were so amped up last week to prove themselves I think this is a big letdown game for them. They killed us and all of the credit goes to them but Peyton is not a great Offensive coach he was mediorce with us and pulled this crap all of the time a great game plan one week a dog anotther week, remember the Vikings conference championship game then the Super Bowl. He wins down there because of Drew Brees.

Sh*# Dallas
Miles Austin looks good as their top WR. ATL has done nothing since the opening drive.
by Landeta on Oct 25, 2009 5:21 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
ATL has NO defense at all.
don’t take too much from Miles Austin. He’s good, but he’s not really burning anyone by tearing up the Chiefs and Falcons secondaries.
Of course, FOX and the other Cowboys fans will say he’s the next TO….but hold that thought for when they play some NFL caliber secondaries.

Sure ATL has a D ...
they just went to the “prevent” in the 2nd Quarter. Just rushing 4, not even showing a potential blitz. Romo will have them on his Christmas card list. They let DAL convert a 1st and 25 by playing soft. Disgusting.

So Teams Are Allowed To Blitz The Saints
Maybe just not in New Orleans…And Brees goes down again…Gotta love it. Peyton barking on the sideline, “What is this?!?! Why are more than four men coming after Brees? Didn’t these guys get the memo?”
