Dude

Chill a little. Make your point, fine. But, please, easy with the bold and the exclamation points. No need to yell at us. As for the backs, the Giants need both guys.

and get Carr in there!

coach C he has not played in a losing effort this season!

You play to win the game!

Nah....

You contradicted yourself right away with the starting Bradshaw thing…you said he’s a ‘spark’.

Well…YEA!? He is a spark. But you don’t have a spark by “starting” him. You have a spark by beating the hell out of the defense with Jacobs, then AB for the spark. Running backs were just fine too on Sunday, we didn’t use him cuz Gilbride’s IHOP menu tells him to throw deep with you are down by 2 scores….

As for Steve Smith…Eli had him wide open for a TD and missed him. They also didn’t really use Smith as he always is, on those 3rd down ins and dig plays that he does so well.

If Smith dropped a ton of passes, I’d agree he didn’t show up. But he didn’t, so you are wrong.

Not sure about

What happened with our offensive gameplan. We have a very good short passing game. That is Steve Smiths game. We didnt play that game against the Saints. We can run the ball effectively which we didnt do against the Saints because we got away from it. Agree with FB Jacobs needs to help that spark because if Ahmad started I doubt he would be doing as well.

that first part is what gets me so mad about that game...

not the defensive lapses. I knew Brees and that O had the potential to do that, so a game where the Giants just tried to hit the opponent in the mouth seemed fit.

Its really amazing how that Browns game last year and this Saints game are so similar.

The opponent was damn near unstoppable (obviously more so the Saints) on offense..yet the response was to try and copycat with Eli trying to do the same.

Is Eli good enough to do that? Yea, I think so. Yet..that’s not the Giants. Not what they should stoop to.

If this Arizona game begins to pan out with Warner looking unstoppable..I really hope that on offense we can help out the D by merely grinding it out on offense instead of trying to be the Greatest Show from teh Meadowlands….

… and I mean that as a start. I have no problem at all with as the game going on…after we pound the D with the run, that they switch to the pass and go nuts with it. No problem at all. Just establish the run first PLEASE!

This was a game

that should have been dominated by our run game. Big mistake by trying to go blow for blow with that offense. We should have taken the air out of the ball by running it. Bjake should have had at least 22-25 carries and AB should have had at least 12-15 carries. Should have used AB with some screens also. We gave Brees too many chances on the field. Bad game plan by both OC and DC.

posts like this

are the reason why i don’t go to bars to watch football games.

by cntrlalt on Oct 21, 2009 8:14 PM EDT reply actions

I have a pretty decent deal here

I live on a Navy base. So at the bar on base they have a bunch of big TVs a bowling alley some cool stuff. A place to grab lunch and the food is actually good. The best thing is they got the Direct TV football package. Plus theres always a variety of fans and I have met 3 Giants fans up here in Washington.

Thats a GREAT Idea!!!!

Ed tell the team!

It would save the Giants Defence a lot of time if QBs just stayed down!

Coach C...

will never start a back who can’t pick up the blitz…you can chalk that up to missed practice time but still, to start you have to be a complete RB. Jacobs woulda picked that blitz up.

He does pick up the blitz!

is this guy serious? Have you watched any Giant games this year. Bradshaw has had some unbelievable blocks and has picked up the blitz very well. The deal with the play last week was that Bradshaw did not hear the audible because of the crowd noise, so he did not know that was his assignment. Besides, you can’t judge a player by one play or a few.

One of the worst posts

since the “I heard this Nawlins player at the bar” thread from about 6 hours ago. They seem to be coming out of the woodwork today.

The first time Bradshaw got ripped back on short-yardage downs a couple consecutive times

Would be the end of all the “Bradshaw should start” garbage

No.

Healthy diet of Brandon Jacobs please.

by wakkawakka on Oct 22, 2009 8:45 AM EDT reply actions

No. Jacobs is the starter

…for a reason. He is supposed to ‘soften’ the defense for AB and others. Using AB ‘off the bench’ as a change-of-pace back is the best strategy. I think Jacobs and Bradshaw should split the carries close to evenly, but it makes more sense for BJ to start.

Every week I’m hoping that this is the breakout week for BJ.
Let’s go Brandon Jacobs!

Jacobs must start but the ballet solo.

He just need to stop dancing and run a few people over. I would rather see us punt after coming up short on 3 running plays then go 3 & out with Eli tossing it to no one. Watching that game last night, the Cards, dared us to run and we didn’t and if Eli says “Omaha” one more time I’m going to jump off my roof…

by kingofatlanta on Oct 26, 2009 9:25 PM EDT reply actions

Eli's been saying Omaha since 2005......

Bradshaw's Role

Like many Giants fan I’m big Bradshaw fan. He adds a spark. That being said I wouldn’t change his role. Although, Jacobs has struggled this season, Sunday night it appeared he had that step back in his game.

Brahshaw has had 2 tough weeks. Missing a blitz pickup vs. Saints then Sunday the fumble and 15 yard penalty. He’ll be OK. TC will straighten that out.
