Eagles Bandwagon
Has to be overflowing! I've seen two broadcasters or ESPN employees pick the Giants, everyone else minus Strahan has picked the Eagles. Strahan didn't pick, saying it really is a toss up.
It is like the Reese went out and found 53 hobos on the street and suited them up. That is how little respect the Giants are getting with the mainstream media. It's not like we won the superbowl last year or anything.
God, I hope this motivates the team to no end.

Like I said yesterday
The Eagles are the sexy pick, everybody loves the new girl.
I’d rather be the ugly girl with the Lombardi

Actually
“Rot Crouch” is indigenous to the Philly area so we have no idea what you’re talking about

Hmm
I think most commentators think the Eagles have some momentum and that it will be a close game, but I don’t see any Giants disrespect. Hard for that to be the case when you’re actually favored in the game, right…?

So far on major media shows
Jimmy Johnson picked the giants.
Strahan said it is a toss up
One of the ESPN NFL guys picked the giants.
Wilbon picked the eagles
Tony K picked the eagles
Every other fox personality picked the eagles
3 ESPN talking heads on SC picked the eagles.
Vegas sets the point spread. All the talking heads are picking the Eagles though.

Is slobbering all over the Eggs’ jockstraps, the idiot. And yes, he’s running with “they are the ’07 Giants” IDIOTIC CRAP. C’mon Mose, you can have your OWN stupid ideas instead of borrowing other people’s. Anyway, GOOD.
I hope so many tools lay money on the Eggs that Vegas swings them to FAVORITES. You know whose knobs the sports unintelligentsia were drooling on before now? The COLTS.

Who gives a crap who these guys pick?
They always end up with sub .500 records on their picks at the end of the year.

you guys are absolutely as worried about the game as we are

If anyone says they aren't worried or agitated by this game then they are flat out lying.
The whole “scared of the eagles” business is stupid. I don’t think either team or their fans are scared.
The reality here is that losing in the playoffs to a division foe is not ideal.

im worried about this game, but i worry about every game... there are no teams in the NFL that you can have no respect for.
I just get a little more worried when we play the giants, cuz crazy shit happens in our games – down 24 at the start of the 4th and the giants tie it up and then win it in overtime (ending javon kearse’s year and eagles career) Plax making big plays on us, setting up toomer to make pig plays on us too. 2006 we split with the road team winning as in 2008. 2005 & 2007 you beat us twice, and we played in the wildcard in 2006 with the eagles winning. eagles won 3-9 giants 6-9. Home field didnt seem to matter too much, and the games are always tough and close. Being an eagles fan, Im optimistic to an extent & nervious as hell cuz like i said, crazy things always happen when we play ya.
I don’t get nervous when we play the cowboys though, i get vengeful. I’m always looking to stomp their mudholes and expect to do so even if we are a 6-10 team. there is no team that get me more amped up to play than the mexican cowboys. the most hated team in all of sports (just ahead of the yankees and braves – im a mets fan)
So giants fans, i hate the cowboys, and rooted for you guys last year cuz i hate the patriots. i guess it would be giants 3rd and redskins 4th…. what teams do you love to hate and as such, get the most pleasure from beating…. and would you rather win big, or pull out a last second stunner against the cowboys 2 weeks ago, that was my type of cowboys game – humulate them, buy the giants i prefer to steal a tight one at the end… Give me your thoughts

an Eagles/Mets fan
that’s interesting…My most hated team is the Cowboys, but the team I hate to lose to most is the Eagles, if that makes sense. I have a ton of friends who are Eagles fans, and none who are Cowboys fans, so losing to the Eagles is worse b/c my friends can rub it in.

Hate List
1. Eagles (They get the number 1 slot because I work in Philly and the constant smack talking with friends is too enjoyable).
2. Notre Dame (They almost got the #1 slot, but the Eagles hate is so fresh right now.)
3. Cowboys (They are more a joke right now anyway, what with Romo’s shower fainting incident)
4. Mets (Reyes is a bum)
5. Patriots (America’s darlings turned criminals who stole your wallet and knocked your daughter up).

because they're the scum of the Earth
just kidding. Not really…
A couple reasons: the 90s… nobody hates a loser, and the ‘Boys were the team of the 90s
Jerry Jones being an obnoxious owner and being on the sidelines
T.O.
Pacman
Roy “Horsecollar” Williams
They call themselves "America’s Team"
The Tony Homo love affair which is now apparently ending
The drug dealers

What do you have against drug dealers?
Just kidding. I can actually agree with you on several points but I would like to lay a disclamer. That “Americas Team” crap, which I detest, was bestowed by good ol NFL Films on one of the year highlight films they put together. Other than that I also wish Jerry would keep his a$$ parked in his suite and Pacman has left the building. Horsecollar will probably also be among the millions of unemployed as well.

SM has many of the reasons.
For me, the biggest is the arrogance the organization and its fans present, winning or losing, unlike the SB Giants, who exude quiet confidence.

Here's more on the 'boys:
their fans project a sense of entitlement, that Dallas should win just because it’s Dallas. There also seems to be a perpetual smirk on the face of the Cowboys’ fandom that conveys that they think they’re better than you.

I'd say no
I couldn’t ‘Troll’ ya, Ed, you’re too good of a guy. The illiterate crew at Bloody Green with Envy had a field day with my allegiances, ignoring the fact that the last half of my life I’ve been in sports fan hell with the Sox and Giants. Oddly, the split is not that unusual… I know a few Pats/Yankees fans. I guess at this juncture either could be accused of being “Frontrunners”… but any Sox fan who became a fan after after 1918 and in time to witness ’86 should just get a free pass from any allegiance tests, ever.

I love our rivalry and love it even more in the playoffs…..The NFC East is the best in the NFL.
Period.
We own some of the oldest franchises in the NFL and the best fans, for us its a way of life.

I usually root for the A.L. team in the series
and the NFC team in the bowl… but I gotta admit it, I’m a bigtime hater. For me to root for the Eagles, they’d have to be playing the Cowboys. And for me to root for the Cowboys, they’d have to be playing a team of convicted murderers (no, that’s not a Ravens joke)
