Bruuuuuuuuuuuuce!
I am pumped up for Sunday, but honestly that is not because of the Super Bowl. Our Giants aren't playing, so it really doesn't matter much to me.
The fact that Bruce Springsteen is doing the halftime show is what I am looking forward to. Springsteen is my favorite artist of all time, and I can't wait for the '12-minute party' he promises his performance will be.
Of course, Springsteen has 30 years worth of songs to choose from for his 12 minutes. I am hoping to hear 'Born to Run' and 'Born in the U.S.A.'
Any other Springsteen fans out there in BBV Nation? If so, what are you hoping to hear?

He won't sing it
but Rosalita is one of my top-5 favorite songs of all-time. I also love Born to Run. I’m not a huge Born in the USA fan (great song, but it’s been overplayed, IMO). I’d actually prefer Glory Days, but since that’s a baseball song it probably won’t happen.
Side note – I went to the “Power of One” concert on the Mall two weekends ago (the pre-Inauguration concert) and Springsteen opened up with “The Rising” – certainly not his best song, but even just seeing him do that was awesome. He’s such a fantastic live performer.
The Boss
I have only seen him in concert once, probably 25 years ago. The man puts on an incredible show with great energy and passion.

Huge Bruce fan
You will undoubtedly hear “Workin on a Dream” from the new CD, which is a great song.
I would not be surprised to hear “The Rising”, and then something classic, maybe “Born in the USA”
Maybe he’ll play one for the Giants fans…..“57 channels and nothin on”
I heard yesterday that the halftime show is the precursor for a world tour, I haven’t seen Bruce live since I lived in Phoenix, you can bet I will see him this time around.

Live
The problem is always getting tickets. The darn shows sell out in like 5 minutes. He’s been to Albany a few times and I can never get seats.

well I am hoping
It will be a stadium tour
And he absolutely HAS to do the last concert at Giants Stadium, whenever that is

I've been to four Springsteen concerts (one when he toured with the Traveling Wiburys)
He’s my favorite rocker; Dylan my favorite lyricist. I’d like to see Bruce do the solo version of Born in the USA, Hungry Heart, Jungleland, I’m on Fire. He can’t put forth the energy that he did in his younger days, but it’s amazing how much he does now at 59. I wonder if he can work up enough sweat in fifteen minutes to pull his wring-out-th- soake- T routine?
I’m more hyped about this SB than any since Colts-Jets and any of the Giants appearances. It has some grear story lines: league’s best D vs. most explosive O; the AZ coaches vs their old team; Warner trying to solidify his elite QB status. I’d love to see AZ win.
Tom Petty did the same thing last year
his tickets went onsale the day after the super bowl and he played one song from his new CD.
However, if you really want to see bruce… see if there is a fan club or something you can join on his website. Its usually costs 25 bucks and some times you get a t shirt.
The reason to do it however is you get access to tickets before they go onsale to the public, usually in better seats. Last year I did it for Petty and already had 4th row before he played at the superbowl. The 25 bucks was worth it between the 4 of us.
I dont see an official fan site
here is the mailing list which is good to be on, usually youll get promo codes on shows to get presale.
this is the semi official fan site. with a forum for buying and selling tickets.
25 Bruce shows....I like him more than the Giants
And I like the Giants a lot.
There is no fan club. You have to be smart and lucky the morning of the onsale. There’s only been one show I haven’t been able to get tickets to in the 10 years I’ve been a fan, and that was at the Orpheum theatre here in Boston.
He won’t play BITUSA. Too depressing and misunderstood. He will absolutely play BTR, though. Bank on it.
He’ll probably only play three songs, and My Lucky Day (from the new album) will absolutely be one of them. I know what the other one is, but I won’t spoil the surprise.
Just emember: they’re not booing. They’re yelling “Springsteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen!”
Couldnt care less about Bruce or the game for that matter, just waiting for
THE OFFICE!
Okay, just so I understand it... in your wildest fantasy, you are in hell. And you are co-running a bed and breakfast with the devil.
