Looks like the first one to 10 is going to win this one.

I picked the Ravens a week ago
but when it’s rainy like that, anything can happen.
May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.

Boldin
That’s a rough break for the Cards. It will be interesting to see if they try to run the ball as much as they did last week.

Pretty fun game to watch.
Baltimore’s defense was impressive. If we face them, I fear for the health of our WR’s.

Ravesn are scary
That team is physical on offense and defense.

Well, yeah, but did the Titans give the game away?
Did the Ravens steal it? Is it better for the NFL if the Ravens get to the SB instead of the Titans? Who knows? Maybe the Shadow. Not me.

Ravens were pretty good.
But Ten lost this game more than the Ravens won it. And I’m more worried about the Panthers and the Eagles than any of the AFC teams, honestly.

this makes me feel better
i doubt both 6 seeds have ever won in the Divisional playoff in the same year. hopefully that trend continues.

Good grief - what in the hell happened to Carolina???
Save the neck for me, Clark.

Delhomme kinda sucks.

Perhaps the Panthers
might think about signing Carr, and giving him a legit shot at the starting job
by NYERinSF on Jan 10, 2009 10:56 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Well....
All the experts that picked the Panthers to beat the Giants in the NFC championship game must be stunned right now.
John Fox didn’t get the memo on how to beat the Cardinals, its called winning T.O.P by running the ball.

this is going to be a really tough hole to climb out of
hopefully this week mimicks last week – all hell breaks lose in Day One, higher-seeds prevail in Day Two.

I'd love to see the Giants open up with 4 wide, no huddle offense and throw the Eagle blitz scheme
for a loop. You just know they are going to be ready to hit Jacobs at the start.
by Major on Jan 10, 2009 9:51 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
You know what
I hate it when the Giants do that. That means they are immediately out of their personality, and trying to do things that are not their strength.
by Ed Valentine on Jan 10, 2009 10:01 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Historically it hasn't worked well but I think the Eagles plan to pin their ears back
and blitz all day long. Maybe no huddle or hurry up offense makes them back peddle just enough for the O-line to dictate the pace. Eli does well in that phase of the game.

Agreed.
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I want to see them come out running, and change only if the Iggles manage to stuff us.

Balanced attack
Combination of running and passing -
I think the Giants running attack can beat the Eagles run defense
by NYERinSF on Jan 10, 2009 11:55 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I have to admit
I was pretty stunned – I don’t think Zona is that good a team, and I expected Carolina to beat the snot out of them

I feel for Kerry Collins he played well today.
Does anyone think Fisher gets canned? Titans haven’t done much since their superbowl against the Rams
by Major on Jan 10, 2009 10:11 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
except win a Division title
and 13 games with a backup quarterback, an obese/rookie RB corps, and no WRs.
by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Jan 11, 2009 1:25 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Well you're clearly disrespecting Justin Gage, TE Bo Scaife, RB Chris Johnson(rookie running backs
are expected to contribute well before rookie QB’s and historically have done so. Dud Argument there)
and the Titans top rated defense. Don’t forget they outplayed the Ravens, turnovers killed them.
The thought I’m having about Fisher is the fact that Shanahan was fired. Fisher has proven that he doesn’t win big games. You cannot tell me he does, the Titans lone playoff run was marked by the music city miracle play and since then nothing.
Fisher is a good coach but maybe the team needs a new voice.

Warner
just blew out a team that was suppose to whoop them up n down the field. And he’s not laughing, jumping, dancing on the sidelines (McNabb). He is stoned face, wondering why they didn’t get a TD on this last drive. He looks focused and calm. You gotta be excited being a teammate of this guy. He is awesome still. However, if we beat the Eggs, they won’t get 6 TO’s from us.

I think Arizona
(with the help of the Colts) just gave everyone a crash course on the importance of “momentum” in the playoffs…
by cjmulrain on Jan 11, 2009 12:05 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
i don't want to sound over-confident
but both the Giants and Eagles have to be feeling pretty good about their chances at a Super Bowl should they win tomorrow.
one drawback for the Eagles is that they’d have to play at Arizona, and that’s a different team at home.
should the Giants win, i like their chances against the Cards in the below-freezing swamps.
by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Jan 11, 2009 1:21 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
Carolina
was thinking the same thing…
I was rooting for the Cards b/c I thought they’d be easier, but they’ve looked damn good 2 weeks in a row. I think the Giants should be able to beat them at the Meadowlands, but I wouldn’t take anything for granted.

Weird
Every sportscaster is looking for the team that they believe is like last year’s Giants. They’ve dubbed every team they can think of to be like them ….Ravens, Eggles, Cards…every team except, well,… the Giants. When will they learn. Only the Giants can do what the Giants did. The maic is still there and for the second straight season no one is picking, backing, or believing in our Jints.
Sorry Donovan, but your last year in Philly ends in about 12 hours. Warner you’ll get yours next week fumble boy. I am a Giantbeliever. Here’s to all the stupid football gurus that picked Dallas to win the SB and the Panthers to represent the NFC once Dallas was eliminated from playoffs. One things for sure, here we are underdogs again and that’s just fine by me. We’re still under the radar and it’s the best place for us.
P.S.
I like scrambled Eggles for breakfast. Bring it ON!!!! Good luck GIANTS!!!!!
