NFL week 1, Open Thread

Today is the first full slate of NFL regular-season games.

In honor of Week 1, and since the Giants are the only undefeated team in football right now, here is an Open Thread.

Drop by, discuss any of today's NFL action that perks your interest.

Shoot, talk a little college football. Or even baseball pennant races if you want.

Enjoy!

We hate you too!

Looks like the NFC East is sending 3 teams to the playoffs again. Its just a matter of the order.

I was saying the same thing

when talking to my Eagles fan college roommate today. Our schedules look pretty easy, too (granted, it’s hard to tell right now, some teams might surprise and become good).

One comment: can Cowboys fans figure out a way to get them to throw more when they get into the red zone? I have Romo on my fantasy team and I’m already sick of seeing Marion Barber pound it in. If the ’Boys are gonna score, I might as well get some benefit from it! Plus, if Romo really wants to be mentioned with the likes of Brady and Manning, he needs to have one season where he gratuitously throws for TDs every opportunity he gets to get up over 40 TD passes…might as well be this year, right?

I hate my fantasy team at the moment!

Turner is on my bench with 42 points!

Rams stink

But I just know the Giants will have to rally for a 19-17 win against them.

Brady

Have you seen the reports that he is out for the season?

Oops

I just saw your comment, right after I posted the story.

That sucks, although Cassels played a nice game today.

Just wanted to give a shout out

to Joe Flacco. I have a ton of faith that he’s gonna be a star in this league, but I’ll admit I didn’t think he would be ready right away, and he still might not be. But he looked good today, and the TD run was awesome. As much as I hate the Ravens, I hope he has a great season for them.
