Im a sucker for this

http://fifthdown.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/09/26/football-science-and-the-giants-offensive-line/

Nothing is more satisfying than learning the nitty gritty about Pro-sports. Ya know the beyond the box -score type stuff. And being a rabid Giant fan I love looking at the unappreciated block downfield, or the tackles making the pocket collapse (while the ends get the adoration of the SACK). This is a must read for us G fans. Hope you guys enjoy.

I do wish he went into more detail about certain situations while dropping a players name but he still makes his point.

very cool article

the Giants O-line doesn’t get the publicity of some other teams, but they are definitely one of the best.

I’m also a fan of this type of statistical analysis, which looks beyond the raw data and is actually based on watching the game. He does some pretty interesting stuff with things like “WR catchable ball percentage” and things like that.
