Set those fantasy football lineups

Fanhouseleague_logo_medium

If you are a member of the Big Blue View Fantasy Football League don't forget to set your lineup prior to Thursday night's season-opener.

I have no clue how this will play out, but it should be fun.

WIN TC's NEW BOOK! Random House has been kind enough to make a few copies of Tom Coughlin's new book, "A Team To Believe In," available to members of Big Blue View Nation. Stay tuned this weekend for details on how you could win a copy of a book that takes us on the road to the Super Bowl title from Coach Tom Coughin's perspective. It will probably be a "write the best caption" type contest, but we'll see.

HELP! I am still looking for a member of BBV Nation who might be interested in putting together an occasional logo or graphic for the site. I can do it if I need to, but it's not my greatest skill. If anyone is willing to help out occasionally, e-mail me at bigblueview@gmail.com.

ON THE FIELD: Ralph Vacchiano has notes from the final full practice before Thursday's season opener against Washington.

WE COULD HAVE TOLD YOU: In a move that should hardly shock any Giants fan, the Oakland Raiders have cut former Giants' No. 1 pick William Joseph.

I can't believe I am recommending this....

But I think that Reese ought to strongly consider picking W. Joseph up. He knows the system and he understands the terminology and the schemes. It’s a low risk, high upside move – especially if he is signed to a non-guaranteed one year contract (which means he has a lot to prove and will play hard).

I don’t think willie joe was here for Spags, so he’s just a guy off the street. An extremely untalented lazy guy off the street

Yikes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just checked in while eating lunch……………..happy thoughts…………happy thoughts…pheww. Actually the first thing I thought of when I read the Raiders made an intelligent move is that"oh sh#t" Gillbery’s a goner.

We're only gonna score 17 points?

I’ve seen enough of William Joseph to last me a lifetime.

Ohhhhh ....

So that’s how it’s gonna be! I see. Well, since I stink at Fantasy Football it shouldn’t be much of an accomplishment! Good luck!

Ha. To make things worse

since I have mostly Giants players, you sort of have to root for my guys, right? ;)

Argh!!

This is why Fantasy Sports can really stink sometimes.

Speaking of fantasy football

I went to a Nationals game last night so I missed my league’s online draft, it was the first time in the 5 years I’ve been playing I missed the draft. Damn autopick takes Tony Romo and Clinton Portis with my first 2 picks, Jeremy Shockey with my 5th, and Kevin Curtis as my 3rd WR. So basically, I have to hope players I can’t stand (or at least players on teams I cant stand) have good offensive seasons if I want to win. This is why I hate FF. Oh, and Jason Campbell is my backup QB. Meanwhile, I didn’t get a single Giant. The worst part is probably the fact that it took Adam Vinateiri with the 8th pick and the Bears defense with the 9th, which is WAY too high to draft a kicker and a defense IMO (I usually take them with my last 2 picks), and then took ANOTHER kicker with the last pick, right ahead of Kevin Boss being drafted. Needless to say, I’m pretty livid.
