Giants Sign TE Martrez Milner To Practice Squad

Congratulations, Giants fans! You've received a tight end with loads of potential and no production whatsoever. Martrez Milner was a mid-round pick last year for the Falcons and was envisioned as our top tight end as recently as training camp this year, so he could end up being a great pickup for you guys. He just doesn't work hard enough to earn it.

Any chance he makes the team behind Boss at some point?

Well ...

the giants already have three TEs they like on the roster. GM Jerry Reese, though, has been great about picking up guys like this (I’m think DE Dave Tollefson off last year’s Oakland practice squad) who end up making an impact once injuries hit. Another guy like this is Rashad Barksdale, a DB who played for KC last year and is currently on the practice squad. If Reese picked him up, he did it for a reason.

I still really hope Milner can turn out to be something special, and maybe Tom Coughlin is the perfect coach to light a fire under his butt. Good luck!
