It would work for a while at least, but you would need a triple threat tailback and a
Charlie Caldwell, Steve Owen-type coach. Neither type exists these days. The Giants did well with the A when everyone else shifted to the T. It’s tough for the other team when they have to prepare for something they only see once or twice a year. Still, I think the single wing is gone for good. To make it work in the pros, you’d need players who’ve played it from the Pee-Wee leagues on up. It would be fun to see, though.
